Greg Daniels' Original Plan For Upload Sounds Like A Completely Different Show
Image
Prime Video's "Upload" poses an interesting premise about the future. The sci-fi comedy-drama is set in the year 2033, wherein humans can, you guessed it, "upload" their consciousness to a virtual afterlife. UK Broadcaster Channel 4 Turns Up The Grime With Doc Series & ‘The Big Narstie Show’ Spin-Off – Edinburgh
British broadcaster Channel 4 is doubling down on grime with a three-part documentary series set in Blackpool, handing The Big Narstie Show a second season and giving Narstie’s co-host Mo Gilligan his own series.

The network revealed its latest slate of youth-skewing shows at the Edinburgh International TV Festival.

It’s Grime Up North (w/t), which is produced by BBC Studios, follows the lives of a group of young MCs on the Blackpool grime scene. It will follow artists such as Little T (aka Josh Tate), Sophie Aspin and Millie B as well as a group of others striving for a break. The doc series was ordered by Channel 4’s Formats Commissioning Editor Lee McMurray and departing Head of Formats Dom Bird. The series is produced by BBC Studios’ Auntie Productions, whose Creative Directors are Sam Bickley and Samantha Anstiss. The executive producer is Kat Lennox and series producer is Danny Fildes.

Discovery Vr, Oculus Veterans Launch New Ar/Vr Studio Tomorrow Never Knows (Exclusive)
Four virtual reality (Vr) veterans from Discovery Digital, Oculus Story Studio and Lightshed officially launched their new company out of stealth mode in San Francisco this week. Dubbed Tomorrow Never Knows, the new studio aims to use virtual and augmented reality as well as other emerging technologies including artificial intelligence for groundbreaking storytelling projects, said co-founder and CEO Nathan Brown in an interview with Variety this week.

“The thesis behind the company is to consistently violate the limits of storytelling, forcing the creation of new tools, methodologies and workflow and to do this intentionally so we create original creative and technology IP,” he said.

Before founding Tomorrow Never Knows, Brown co-founded Discovery Vr, which has become one of the most ambitious network-backed Vr outlets. Also hailing from Discovery Vr is Tomorrow Never Knows co-founder Tom Lofthouse. They are joined by Gabo Arora, whose previous work as the founder of Lightshed...
