Barry DeBois was born in Canton, Ohio. He went to an arts middle school where he studied Drama for 5 years. He graduated high school with a visual arts specialization and a music specialization. In college, Barry studied mechanical engineering design. He then worked in power plant boiler design for 6 years and acquired a patent. At night he was heavily involved in theatre, as well as singing with all kinds of bands from rock to orchestras. In 2010 he quit design and moved to New York to pursue acting professionally. He has since worked as an actor in theaters across the United States, and as a singer on cruise ships around the world. Barry was a member of the National Tour of Once the Musical from 2016-2017.
As Barry's theatre career began to blossom, he started the production company "Bruth Media" with collaborator Brayden Hade. Bruth Media produces film, television, theatre and new media. They also provide photography, graphic design, and video production services. Barry has now worked in film, television, commercial, and new media as an actor, director, writer, video editor, composer, and producer. His directorial debut Train Approaching (2015) was accepted into the Coney Island Film Festival. His acting and editing work has accrued millions of views online, and has been seen on television in the United States.
