Brian Quintero is an award-winning Costa Rican-Canadian actor and filmmaker, known for his roles in The Abandons (Netflix), The Umbrella Academy (Netflix), and Billy the Kid (MGM+), with a Best Ensemble nomination at FilmQuest for The Killgrin and Best Actor in a Drama at the Actors Awards, Los Angeles, for Narcissistic.
Brian wrote and directed the horror-comedy short film Oldtimers, which won the Silver Audience Award for Best Canadian Short Film at Fantasia International Film Festival and earned the Youth Jury Prize and Best Audience Choice Award at the San Sebastián Horror & Fantasy Film Festival in Spain, leading to his spot at the Blood in the Snow Horror Development Lab. He also directed As We Fall Silent, which won Best Narrative Short at the 512 ATX Film Festival.
Through his production company, Dead Mariachi Films, Brian produced Last Resort (Distributed by Gravitas Ventures), available on various platforms, and the award-winning sci-fi short The Fore-Men, which garnered over 500,000 views on YouTube (DUST Channel). Recently, Brian was selected for Warner Bros. Discovery Access Canada's Diversity Showrunner Bootcamp, where he is mentored by Anthony Farrell as he makes his entry to television.
