Photographer, artist, filmmaker, musician and actor, Ithaka Darin Pappas, grew up in Southern California. He has traveled extensively, living and working in Japan, Greece, Portugal, Mexico and Brazil (where he spent ten years creating at his jungle studio, AkahtiLândia, in the State of São Paulo).
In addition to making short films and videos, Ithaka has released eight albums of original spoken-word-and ambient hip hop music. One of his tracks, "Escape From The City of Angels" was featured in the feature film The Replacement Killers directed by Antoine Fuqua.
His short-story series entitled, Fishdaddy Chronicles, has appeared in surfing magazines around the world and published as individual mini-books.
His photographic subjects in the entertainment world have included; Brian Wilson, Chuck Liddell, Giancarlo Esposito, Ice Cube, Sheryl Lee Ralph. Takashi Murakami and Teddy Reilly.
Furthermore, his abstract photographic art and body of sculpture work known as The Reincarnation of a Surfboard have been exhibited globally.
