Hit Anime Series Lycoris Recoil Gets New Replica Sake Release Just in Time to Celebrate the New Year

Released over two years ago, the anime Lycoris Recoil was an original series that became a major multimedia hit. Now, a new version of the sake seen in the series is being sold, allowing all would-be spies to get their drink on.

Produced by Otokoyama, the Lycoris Recoil sake is a recreation of the "Hokkaido Deisui" sake seen in the anime itself. Sold with a newly-designed label featuring Mizuki Nakahara, the alcohol is proof of the brand's continued success. The ordering period doesn't last for much longer, however, so thirsty fans will want to reserve their drop of grog today.

L'Incroyable Cirque Numérique (2023)
The Amazing Digital Circus Will Premiere New Episodes on Netflix the Same Day as YouTube
L'Incroyable Cirque Numérique (2023)
Indie animation studio Glitch Productions debuted the pilot episode of their kooky new project, The Amazing Digital Circus, on YouTube last year, asking viewers to help them greenlight a full season by purchasing merchandise and subscribing to their channel. Now, after millions of likes, views, and subscribers, The Amazing Digital Circus will be available to stream on Netflix while continuing to premiere new episodes on Glitch Productions' YouTube channel.

With only two available episodes so far, The Amazing Digital Circus has nevertheless become an Internet phenomenon. Earning an 8.1/10 on IMDb and hundreds of positive reviews, it's no wonder that the show was picked up by Netflix, who plans to release the third episode on October 4th with subsequent episodes to follow. However, Glitch Productions assured fans via their X account that the Netflix deal only regards licensing rights, allowing Glitch Productions to continue independently funding the show and making all executive and creative decisions.

‘The Amazing Digital Circus’ Will Premiere New Episodes on Netflix the Same Day as YouTube
Image
Less than a year ago, Glitch Productions uploaded the pilot episode of “The Amazing Digital Circus” to YouTube with a plea to help them fund a full season. Now, 346 million views later, “The Amazing Digital Circus” is coming to Netflix while continuing to premiere new episodes on YouTube.

A deceptively cheery-looking animated series about life under the big top, the Australian animated series is a delightfully dark comedy about, as Glitch Productions wrote on its website, “A woman gets trapped in a crazy virtual world along with five other humans and are now subject to the whims of wacky AI and their own personal traumas.” Or, put another way, “What if it was ‘Toy Story,’ but everyone was a jerk?”

Created and directed by Gooseworx (also a composer on “Hazbin Hotel”) and produced by Glitch Productions, “The Amazing Digital Circus” will premiere Episodes 1–3 on Netflix October 4, the same day the third episode premieres on YouTube.

Solo Leveling: Arise Reveals a Tragic Part One in New 'Origin' Webtoon Series
Image
The popular Solo Leveling: Arise reveals the latest in its webtoon backstory series exploring new additions to the game -- this time, centering on the game-original characters Charlotte and Harper.

Via the official forum of Solo Leveling: Arise developer Netmarble, siblings Charlotte and Harper received a new webtoon as part of the ongoing "Hunter: Origin" series. This delves into the backstories of characters added to the game. Given its formal title of "Hunter: Origin - Charlotte & Harper's Story 1 -" and its unresolved ending, it suggests it will be the first in the "Origin" series to receive multiple parts. The story centers on an adopted pair of boisterous twin orphans, whose powers are awakened in their youth, and are guided to use their strength to protect others. They venture into a Gate alongside the orphanage's matron to protect their family, before a tragic incident takes place. Readers can check out the webtoon below.

The Amazing Digital Circus Age Rating & Parents' Guide: Is It Appropriate For Kids?
Image
The Amazing Digital Circus is not for young kids, featuring dark themes and horrifying imagery. Some characters in the show may be disconcerting for young viewers. Alternative shows like Gravity Falls, The Magic School Bus, or Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends are more suitable for young children.

The Amazing Digital Circus doesn't have an age rating, but the content may surprise some caretakers if they only see the title card of the animated web series. At first glance, with its colorful art, cute characters, happy voice-acting, and bouncy, PBS cartoon-style music, The Amazing Digital Circus appears to be made entirely with young kids in mind. However, that's not the whole story, and after only a few moments watching the series, it's clear the show is not intended for the same audience who consume Paw Patrol, despite how similar the animation may appear.

The 25-minute series pilot premiered on October 13, 2023, from...
