When it comes to storytelling, arguably no part of a narrative is more important than the conclusion. The final moments of a story can massively change its generated subject and commentary, and as many fans of popular franchises like Game of Thrones are no doubt aware, a bad ending can also completely undercut everything that came before it. The anime medium is no exception to this trend, and over the years, it has spawned a long list of memorable endings.
However, not every anime ending is well-received — in fact, there are plenty of examples of anime endings that are universally criticized by the vast majority of viewers. Thankfully, there are some currently-airing anime that, regardless of what their conclusion looks like, are sure to be well-remembered by fans, proving that even a bad ending can't ruin the best that the medium has to offer.

Dragon Ball Daima is the newest addition to the Dragon Ball universe, and it hasn't missed its mark. It's a fun, light-hearted series that reintroduces the cast of Dragon Ball in an amazing light. While Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Gt, and Dragon Ball Super put action first and comedy second, Daima changes the formula to create a new series that feels fresher than ever.
The evil Demon King Gomah used the Dragon Balls to make Goku and the rest of the Z Fighters become kids again, leading to a hilarious adventure, great battles, and surprising transformations. As a series that puts fun first, it has a different tone than most of the Dragon Ball franchise, but there are still plenty of other anime series that share a lot in common with the latest entry into the Dragon Ball canon.

The explosive popularity of anime in recent years has led to the most popular anime characters, like Dragon Ball's Goku, becoming household names even outside of Japan. Interesting and lovable characters help to make a series both memorable and profitable, so it's in studios' best interests to create the most appealing characters possible. Not every anime character reaches that bar, but the best of the best aren't just heroes fans can relate to, they're fully fleshed-out characters with fears, hopes, and dreams.
While it's impossible to have a totally objective list of the most popular characters, one of the first criteria must be that the most popular characters are well-known outside their own fandoms. Even those not into anime might be able to recognize these characters at a glance, and no anime convention is complete without a cosplay or two of them.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime remains one of the most popular isekai around, largely for how well it handles its world building. It features a well-established power system, and at the top stand the Demon Lords. The Demon Lords are the most powerful beings to walk the planet, with all of them having S-Rank power.
However, not all Demon Lords are equal in strength. In Reincarnated as a Slime season two, viewers got to see some of the Demon Lords battle one another, with several of them coming up so short in battle they lost their titles. By the end of season two, the Demon Lords were forced to re-organize, focusing on their strongest remaining members.

Frieren: Beyond Journey's End's manga takes an unexpected hiatus, leaving fans waiting for its return with no confirmed date. The reason behind the hiatus is currently unknown. Hiatuses are common in the manga industry, but it's unfortunate news for those eagerly anticipating more content.
Frieren: Beyond Journeys End has surprised its fans with the bad news of a hiatus for the manga series. Frieren has undoubtedly become one of the biggest anime franchises in recent years. The easy accessibility of the story, combined with its stellar visuals and animation courtesy of Studio Madhouse, has made it a major hit with fans and critics alike, and that's unlikely to change anytime soon.
The Frieren: Beyond Journey's End manga, of course, is just as good as the anime, and some unfortunate news about it has just broken out. Like many manga, Frieren is currently on break for Golden Week, but it's...

Hazbin Hotel is a recently released show, but its cast and characters aren't new at all. The cast of the series is composed of well-known talents, such as Stephanie Beatriz and Keith David, while the pilot's cast has been revered since 2019 for how endearing they made their characters and for how much time they've spent interacting with fans.
The complex characters of Hazbin Hotel have been played by two outstanding casts. Both the pilot's cast, who made the show possible, and the series' cast, full of Broadway talent, do a stupendous job bringing these characters to life.

Hazbin Hotel, the raunchy animated pilot, is finally becoming a fully-fledged series on Prime Video, following its successful debut on YouTube. The events of the pilot are considered canon, but the series will set the correct lore of the world, and some visual changes have been made. The new series will feature a new cast, with notable actors taking on the roles, and Bento Box Entertainment is teaming up with SpindleHorse Toons for the animation. The series will debut on Prime Video in January 2024.
After Hazbin Hotel rocked the internet in 2019, followed by the successful spinoff series Helluva Boss, this raunchy animated pilot is finally coming to Prime Video via A24 as a fully-fledged series. Hazbin Hotel tells the story of Charlie Morningstar, the princess of Hell, as she develops a controversial program to "rehabilitate" the numerous demons residing down below: the eponymous Hazbin Hotel, where demons check-in and redeemed souls check out.
