The cast of My Old Ass features some major movie stars and a few up-and-coming actors, and they all worked together to tell a great coming-of-age story. My Old Ass tells the story of Elliott (Maisy Stella), a girl who is about to go to college who gets some unexpected advice from an unexpected source: an older version of herself, played by Aubrey Plaza. With a Rotten Tomatoes score of 90%, My Old Ass is a better performance from Plaza than Megalopolis, the recent Francis Ford Coppola film. A large part of that quality is due to the stellar performances and chemistry of the film's small cast.

As with any coming-of-age film, My Old Ass relies on the performances of its lead actors to make its characters sympathetic and believable. Luckily, both Stella and Plaza were more than up to the task, which is likely why reviews of My Old Ass have been so favorable.

Madi Diaz has enlisted singer-actress Lennon Stella for the blissful duet “One Less Question.”

Charlie Puth, who is credited with one of the most successful movie songs of all-time, “See You Again” from the “Fast and Furious 7” (4.5 billion views on YouTube and counting), has lent his name to the upcoming animated feature “Scoob!” Collaborating with Lennon Stella, “Summer Feelings” is an upbeat tune produced by Invincible (Cardi B’s “I Like It”).

“Scoob! The Album,” out on Friday (May 15), also features a collaboration by Thomas Rhett and Kane Brown featuring Ava Max, in addition to contributions by Rico Nasty, Pink $weats, Jack Harlow, Galantis and Best Coast, who sing the theme song.

Following the release of “For the Throne (Music Inspired by the HBO Series Game of Thrones),” on Sunday morning Columbia Records and HBO released the official music video for the album’s lead single “Power Is Power” by Sza, The Weeknd and Travis Scott. The visual was directed by Anthony Mandler and shot in Los Angeles and is perhaps most remarkable for the hilarious sight of the artists, dressed in outfits inspired by the show, stalking or writhing around sets inspired by the show (Scott’s setting is actually low-key compared with his concert staging), with dragons and the Night King looming in the background.

“We’re taking established artists and pulling them into the ‘Game of Thrones’ world,” says Mandler. “The show establishes all these different kingdoms and worlds. What I want to do is integrate the color palettes of winter, the warmer tones and match that with today’s biggest stars.

If you were looking for a distraction to keep you from obsessing over which Stark might meet an untimely end during the great Battle of Winterfell this Sunday, you’re in luck: HBO and Columbia Records have released their “Game of Thrones”-inspired soundtrack, “For the Throne,” featuring music by The Weeknd, Sza, and Travis Scott — along with many others.

The 15-track project includes songs by the previously mentioned artists, along with the National, Rosalía, A$AP Rocky, Maren Morris, Joey Bada$$, Muse’s Matthew Bellamy, Ty Dolla $ign, the late Lil Peep, Chloe x Hall, Elle Goulding, Jacob Banks, James Arthur, Lennon Stella, Matthew Bellamy, Mumford & Sons, The Lumineers and X Ambassadors.

The Game of Thrones score, composed by musical genius Ramin Djawadi, has iconic songs like the show's pounding main theme and the haunting season six finale score, "Light of the Seven." Now the HBO series is getting a whole new set of songs to celebrate the imminent arrival of season eight from artists like Sza, Ellie Goulding, Maren Morris, The Weeknd, and more.

Columbia Records and HBO announced in early April that an album, For The Throne, is on the way. It will include a ton of brand new tracks inspired by the fantasy series, marking the first time HBO has partnered with a major label to curate a soundtrack. We can only pray that a sampling of Daenerys screaming "Dracarys" makes it on to at least one of the songs.

Nashville tonight wrapped its six-season run — four on ABC and two on Cmt — with an eventful finale that featured the return (in a flashback) of the beloved Rayna James (Connie Britton), a happy ending for virtually every character but baddie Brad and a love letter to the city of Nashville.

It was payback time for the final season’s villain, the arrogant label owner Brad (Jeffrey Nordling). With help of Deacon (Charles Esten), Alannah (Rainee Lyleson), the object of Brad’s unwelcome sexual advances in the final season’s #metoo storyline, pulled off a sting operation, getting Brad’s harassment on tape. She, Deacon and Zach (Cameron Scoggins) then used the recording to blackmail Brad into selling his Shiny New Records to Deacon and Zach for a fraction of its value. And Jessie (Kaitlin Doubleday) got full custody of their son Jake.

With “Nashville” taking its final bow this week, here’s a look back at some of the best moments from each season.

In the final eight episodes, Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) returns in full force and ready to take on cult leader Darius. Deacon (Charles Esten) is forced to face his past when an unwelcomed visitor arrives. Daphne (Maisy Stella) takes center stage under the guidance of Deacon's biggest foe, while Maddie (Lennon Stella) questions her relationship with Jonah. Scarlett (Clare Bowen) forces Sean out of his comfort zone, while Avery (Jonathan Jackson) and Gunnar (Sam Palladio) struggle to move forward with their band without Will (Chris Carmack).

The end of the road is near for Nashville. Cmt has released a midseason trailer ahead of the hit country music drama’s final episodes, which begin airing next month.

In the clip we see Deacon (Charles Esten) in a familiar spot, struggling with his unresolved past. Estranged from his new relationship with Jessie (Kaitlin Doubleday), he’s left to deal with an old one – his father. Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) goes to war with Darius (Josh Stamberg), and will face a fight to save her career and her relationship with Avery (Jonathan Jackson). Meanwhile, Daphne (Maisy Stella) pursues her own musical career under the guidance of Deacon’s biggest enemy, Brad Maitland (Jeffrey Nordling), the ultimate manipulator.

It’s been quite a journey for Nashville since it premiered on ABC in 2012. Cmt saved the series following its sudden cancellation by ABC in May 2016, picking it up for its final two seasons.

The country music soap Nashville is about to ride off into the sunset with their sixth and final season. The cast and crew recently shot their final episode which is set to air on Cmt on July 26 and the gang took to social media to commemorate the event with fond farewells, kind words, throwback photos, and pictures from the set.

In May 2016, ABC cancelled the Nashville TV series after four years. Luckily for the drama's fans, the studio was able to make a deal with Cmt to pick up season five. Nashville is ramping up the drama.

The Cmt country music drama debuted the first trailer for the upcoming sixth season on Thursday, and it looks like Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere) will have a very public onstage breakdown.

In the 30-second teaser, Juliette -- rocking an all-black ensemble and diamond teardrop earrings -- is livid and she makes it known to the raucous crowd.

“I don’t want your money. I don’t want your attention,” a stewing Juliette spews into the mic, saving the most hurtful zinger for last as she storms offstage: “I sure as hell don’t want your love.”
