Annie-Sage Whitehurst is an actor and writer in NYC, perhaps best known for originating the role of "Lia Haddock" in the groundbreaking audio drama "Limetown", later adapted by Jessica Biel for Facebook Watch. After graduating Smith College with a BA in Theatre and a focus on critical gender and performance theory, Annie-Sage started out in NYC's experimental theatre scene, performing with radical groups like The Guerilla Girls, and devising new works at La Mama, WoW Cafe, Dixon Place and The Brick. In 2014, she was cast in her first leading film role in LAST SPRING, a period piece that drew on Annie-Sage's interest in silent films and Old Hollywood.

Eventually, Annie-Sage would become known for her femme fatale persona as the titular character in "JULIANA" at the famous Stonewall Inn, before the production moved to the West Village's popular Duplex Cabaret theatre for three-year run. During this time, Annie-Sage continued to collaborate with visual and performance artists while moving towards film and - after the success of "Limetown" - voice over work. Annie-Sage has appeared in short film festival favorites like "BPM" and "Roadside Assistance", and in 2018, she appeared in her first role for television in Discovery ID's "A Crime to Remember" as the only female cop in 1950s LAPD.

Shortly before the COVID-19 pandemic, Annie-Sage began writing and co-producing independent short films while working as a film/voice over actor, model and improviser. In March of 2020, she founded The Sequestered: A Micro Short Online Film Festival as a response to the overnight closure of the industry, and as a way to encourage accessible and experimental creative growth amidst the pandemic.

While in quarantine, Annie-Sage has written and starred in a handful of self-produced shorts including DMOFF's "Best Covid-19/Quarantine Short Film" and Indie Shorts "Best Film" finalist, "422 East 75th St", KIMFF finalist "Janine" and - her personal favorite - "Rodney at 3:00AM", a short that drew heavily from her experiences as a young actress in experimental theatre.

In December 2020, Annie-Sage's first collaboration with Experiments in Opera, the serialized podcast opera "Aqua Net & Funyuns" featuring a libretto created by Annie-Sage in quarantine, will be available on iTunes and wherever podcasts are found.
