Farfel
Farfel is a hound dog dummy created by ventriloquist Jimmy Nelson. Although Farfel appeared in many of Nelson's comedic routines along with Nelson's human dummy, Danny O'Day, the Farfel character is best known for appearances in television commercials for 'Nestlé's Quik' chocolate which ran from 1955 to 1965. Beginning in 1955, after the first two lines, "N-E-S-T-L-E-S- Nestles makes the very best" were sung by Danny O'Day, Farfel would immediately sing the last word of the jingle, "Chocolate", and snap his opened snout closed with a loud thud.
