Eric Orman is an American actor born in Laguna Hills, California, to Mike Orman, an engineer from Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Christine Orman, a nurse from Grosse Pointe, Michigan. Though encouraged to sign with a talent agency as a child, he declined the opportunity due to his mother's battle with cancer. His family later relocated to Dallas, Texas, where he was raised with a focus on a well-rounded upbringing that included sports, music, and the arts.
After graduating from Lake Highlands High School, Orman toured nationally with his rock band First Class Fever, gaining interest from record labels. Following the group's dissolution, he returned to school and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from the University of North Texas in just three years.
Orman later moved to Los Angeles, selling most of his belongings to pursue a career in entertainment. He studied film and television while working on independent productions. His screen debut came with a small role in the short film 7 Day Gig (2013), followed by a cameo appearance on MTV's reality show The Hook Up (2013). Soon after, he relocated to New York City to continue his acting career.
He has since appeared in print ads, the feature film Holy Fire (2015), several Midwestern stage productions, and earned recognition for his performance as Sammy in the independent film Pentimento (2016). In 2017, he appeared as the "Masked Man" in Season 3, Episode 6 of Mr. Robot.
Orman briefly worked for an autonomous vehicle company in Austin, Texas, before returning to New York City-just in time for the COVID-19 lock-down. During the industry's pause, he joined the United States Army Reserves, completing his training while continuing to support his family.
In the post-pandemic years, Orman returned to the screen with roles including "Freddy Krueger" in a sketch for The Late Show with Jimmy Fallon (2021), and "Vladimir" in the docuseries Have You Seen This Man? (2022). Shortly after, he was deployed overseas with the U.S. Army, where he received multiple awards and returned home early to witness the birth of his child.
In 2024, he landed a breakout role as "Jared Gamble" in Season 6, Episode 5 of CBS's FBI.
Eric Orman currently resides in Brooklyn, New York.
