Emmy Morgan
Emmy was born David Michael on Saturday May 1, 1976. She grew up to a single mom with her older half-brother. For all of her childhood she was always the openly gay Black kid in the predominantly straight, predominantly White town of Agawam, MA. It was there she began channeling all the dramas and life lessons she learned into words of poetry.

After high school she immediately enrolled at Western New England University in Springfield, MA determined to earn her Bachelors in Business Management all the while still writing as her creative outlet. Her goal was to own her own production company where she could write/act/produce her words of poetry had changed into short stories and screenplays.

At the age of 30 after living and working in Western MA her entire life, she decided to move to the Boston area. While there she picked up writing again and even got bit by the acting taking up background extra work on major movies shooting locally.

Following the death a close friend she moved back to Western MA. Realizing life was short, she picked up the one project she'd written on and off one more time. In 2011 she completed this book; fulfilling a life long dream. She then moved back to the Boston area in October 2014.

On August 1, 2015 David came out as a transwoman. Her legal name as of December 23, 2015 is Emily Morgan, but she goes by Emmy Morgan professionally.
