Warning: Contains spoilers from Season One of Platonic.
Seth Rogen has brought us so much that selecting the single best production he’s been involved with is probably impossible. He’s produced The Boys, Black Monday and Blockers. He’s acted in Long Shot, The 40-Year-Old Virgin and Freaks & Geeks. He’s hosted The Great Canadian Pottery Throw Down And, in whatever spare time he has left over, created his own pottery. At the moment, he’s being feted for The Studio — and rightly so, given the 23 Emmy nominations it racked up for its freshman season. I liked The Studio and don’t begrudge it the accolades it’s receiving. But this time next year, we better be seeing the same kind of attention for Rogen’s other AppleTV+ sitcom: The Studio is good, but Platonic is better.

Bird In Hand
Director Melody C Roscher's debut feature, Bird In Hand, follows bi-racial bride-to-be Bird Rowe (Alisha Wainwright), who arrives unannounced on her mother Carlotta (Christine Lahti) and step-father Dale's (Jeffrey Nordling) doorstep to break the news about the upcoming nuptials. However, Bird has an ulterior motive for visiting her childhood home — she wants to finally meet her Black father (K Todd Freeman). As tensions between mother and daughter escalate and the wedding plans grind along slowly, Bird agrees to help white couple Dennis (James Le Gros) and Leigh (Annabelle Dexter-Jones), who have bought a plantation property and plan to cleanse it of its ominous past.
Roscher has previously directed the short films Vessel and White Wedding, the latter of which Bird In Hand is based on. She has also produced Sean Durkin's Martha Marcy May Marlene, Josh Mond's James White, and Antonio Campos' Simon Killer and Christine.

Justin Timberlake Emotional Moment (Photo Credit – Instagram)
Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel seem to be drifting apart quietly but unmistakably after more than a decade of marriage. The duo once looked like a picture-perfect Hollywood union but now it feels like two people living in parallel but separate worlds.
Separate Continents, Separate Priorities
As Timberlake tries to pump energy into a tour that hasn’t exactly been met with standing ovations, Biel is continents away, wrapped up in the buzz of her latest film project, Matchbox, shooting alongside the likes of John Cena and Danai Gurira. She’s in Europe while he’s finishing up shows in South America, and neither seems particularly eager to close the distance.
Those close to the couple hint this isn’t just a scheduling conflict, it’s more like a trial separation in full swing.

One of Ted Lasso’s biggest stars has officially secured her next project. Juno Temple, famed for her role as Keely Jones in Apple TV+’s Emmy Award-winning series, will reunite with the streamer for a new series, The Husbands. Adapted from Holly Gramazio’s novel of the same name, The Husbands follows Lauren (Temple), a woman who returns home one night to be greeted by her husband, Michael, a man she’s never met. Michael then goes to the attic to change a lightbulb, and before Lauren can decipher what’s going on, another new husband appears. This leads to the startling realization that her attic is capable of creating an infinite number of husbands. Miriam Battye will write the project, and Craig Gillespie will direct with A24 producing.

There's Something Wrong with the Children is scary and not appropriate for kids. Teens can watch, but young children should stay away. The movie is not extremely violent, but still not suitable for kids. Unique plot points may resonate with younger viewers, though. There is unsettling cursing and violence in the movie, and it features a bleak ending. Parents may want to avoid exposing children to the content.

One of Justin Timberlake's most recent movies, alongside a Ted Lasso star, is making waves on an underrated streaming platform. Palmer, the 2021 teen drama starring Timberlake, Juno Temple, Alisha Wainwright, and Ryder Allen, is currently the number six most popular movie on Apple TV+. Fisher Stevens, who you may know from playing Hugo Baker on the hit HBO series Succession, directed Palmer, with a script from Cheryl Guerriero. Palmer is Guerriero's only writing credit since 2013 since writing Hunting Season, the drama/thriller starring Lauren Lee Smith and David Sutcliffe. Palmer currently sits at a "certified fresh" 72% rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, accompanied by an even higher 88% audience score.

Justin Timberlake’s Dwi arrest this week has led to a lot of speculations about the singer’s personal life and marriage to Jessica Biel.
We’ve gotten the “this is going to ruin the tour” memes and I’m sure that was funny, even if it was for a while, but sources are saying that his The Hamptons, New York arrest might have more far-reaching consequences than funny memes or even the tour. It might actually tear apart his over a decade marriage to the beautiful Jessica Biel.
Insiders Say Justin Timberlake Scandal “Colosally Embarassed” Jessica Biel
Imagine chilling with friends on a Tuesday night or Wednesday morning, logging into the internet and seeing a misty-eyed mugshot of your husband trending. Most of us might not be able to relate, but Jessica Biel certainly does.
While Britney Spears and the fandom are having a laugh – “Cry Me A River” right?...

Almost a year later, the pair tied the knot at a beautiful yet low-key wedding in southern Italy. Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel are one of the few celebrity couples that have seemingly remained unaffected by the pressures that come with being in the public eye. Even amid revelations rolling out from Timberlake's ex Britney Spears's "The Woman in Me" memoir (out Oct. 24), the two haven't publicly responded to the fan discourse.
Timberlake and Biel were first linked in 2007 when they met at a party. "There was nothing starry about the way we got together. It was very un-Hollywood-esque, in fact," Timberlake said in 2012, per Us Weekly. "We met and got talking. Afterwards, I asked my friend if I could call her and ask her out. My friend called Jessica and Jessica said, 'Yes.' So, I called her."

A Shadowhunters season 4 or revival series is unlikely due to ownership issues and the complexity of getting all parties involved. Fans still hope for a revival, but the question of ownership makes it difficult and costly to continue the series. If a revival were to happen, there are possibilities for new storylines involving Clary regaining her memory and the new generation of Shadowhunters.
A Shadowhunters season 4 or revival series is seemingly unlikely according to cast member Alisha Wainwright. Wainright starred in the Freeform series as Maia, a werewolf in the world of Shadowhunters who strives to do what's right for her pack. Though the series is based on a young adult series of novels, the show took some liberties with the source material and making a unique and immersive world for the television show. Having starred as harried marrieds in the popular 2014 comedy Neighbors, Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne are playing a different type of relationship — platonic old friends — for a new series, aptly titled Platonic, brimming with their undeniable chemistry. “It’s their warmth together that’s so appealing,” says Nick Stoller, who co-created, wrote, and executive produced with his Friends From College partner Francesca Delbanco. “They are friends in real life…and it feels like it.” (Credit: Apple TV+) Just don’t expect a huggy-feely affair. The EPs have blended hard comedy and emotional complexity for this story about Rogen’s Will and Byrne’s Sylvia, former college besties who’ve been bitterly estranged for years. She got caught up in her family and legal career; he’s still sore about her very vocal disapproval of the woman he married (Alisha Wainwright). “They both feel abandoned and believe it’s the other’s fault,...

Horror movies tell us that a great way to show evil is through the medium of blank-eyed kids. But there's an added level of fear when discussing the 2023 film There’s Something Wrong With the Children.
Though horror films often play on fears of the dark, the unknown, or monsters under the bed, this recent movie offers something unique in the genre.
What’s the Movie About?
Two couples meet for a weekend together at a cabin. One couple, Thomas and Ellie, are married with two children, Lucy and Spencer. The children are happy and playful, while the parents seem a bit distant. The other couple, Margaret and Ben, seem happy and do not have kids. The two couples have been friends for years, and Margaret and Ben treat the children as if they are family.

Played Rome Flynn, Raising Dion's Tevon Wakefield was a memorable part of the Netflix series as he changed the lives of several main characters. Adapted from the short film and comic book written by Dennis Liu, the show follows Nicole Warren (Alisha Wainwright) as she takes care of her son, Dion (Ja'Siah Young), and grieves the loss of her husband, Mark (Michael B. Jordan). However, Dion is no ordinary child: he has several powers, including the ability to change ions, allowing him to heal animals and people, become invisible, and create fire. While each episode of Raising Dion is moving and shares a story about the bonds of family, Netflix canceled the series after season 2.
The unforgettable characters of Raising Dion reflect the show's classic themes of good versus evil, with Pat Rollins (Jason Ritter) able to turn into the Crooked Man, the main villain who wants to kill Dion.

Zach Gilford returns to the horror genre with the chilling psychological horror film There's Something Wrong With The Children. The film centers on a group of longtime friends who journey to the woods for a weekend getaway, only to find their idyllic vacation upended when one couple's kids stumble upon a mysterious hole in an abandoned fort and begin behaving strangely. Ben (played by Gildford), witnesses them jump into the pit and soon descends into a spiral of his own.
Alongside Gilford, the cast for There's Something Wrong With The Children includes Alisha Wainwright, Amanda Crew, Carlos Santos, Briella Guiza, and David Mattle. Helmed by V/H/S producer Roxanne Benjamin, the film marks a haunting new addition to the creepy kid horror subgenre packed with plenty of mystery regarding the supernatural situation at hand that will keep audiences guessing until the very end.

We’re less than a month into 2023, but there’s already an early frontrunner for the year’s most accurate movie title. You can love or hate “There’s Something Wrong with the Children,” but nobody can deny that there is definitely something wrong with those children. (Though “A Sad Orgy Can Really Ruin Your Life” would have been an equally accurate title.) The latest Blumhouse movie about creepy kids is a fitting addition to one of horror’s most reliable subgenres, and it manages to elevate itself above the competition through some genuinely compelling adult drama and a delightful Duffer Brothers-esque supernatural twist. And it’s infinitely more enjoyable than any direct-to-streaming January horror movie has any right to be.

The Blumhouse-produced There’s Something Wrong with the Children adds to a long, enduring line of evil kids in horror. Even the title suggests a classic tale of bad seeds terrorizing adults. Director Roxanne Benjamin (Body at Brighton Rock, Southbound) and screenwriters T.J. Cimfel and David White make it apparent early on that they’re more interested in using a familiar setup to explore new angles within the subgenre, subverting a few tropes in the process.
Margaret (Alisha Wainwright) and Ben (Zach Gilford) embark on a weekend cabin getaway with their good friends Ellie (Amanda Crew) and Thomas (Carlos Santos). Ellie and Thomas bring their kids, Lucy (Briella Guiza) and Spencer (David Mattle), who unwittingly derail the couples’ vacation plans. The children’s presence highlights the divide between parents and parentless, something Margaret tries to bridge by offering to watch the kids one night. They sneak away into the night,...

Roxanne Benjamin has quietly become a staple of horror over the better part of the last decade. The filmmaker made her imprint on many a genre fan with her segment in the much-beloved anthology "Southbound," before also contributing to "Xx." Benjamin then made her debut feature, the absolutely terrifying "Body at Brighton Rock," which was released in 2019. Now, after a several year stint directing on shows such as "Riverdale" and "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina," Benjamin is back with her latest feature, "There's Something Wrong With the Children."
The film was produced by Blumhouse Productions as part of a deal the company has to produce films that will, ultimately, make their way to MGM+ after first arriving on Digital/VOD. There’s Something Wrong with the Children is a horror film by Blumhouse directed by Roxanne Benjamin starring Zach Gilford, Amanda Crew and Alisha Wainwright.
A B-Series movie of the “friends in a log cabin” type with terrifying children… but with no corn.
Storyline
After Margaret and Ben take off on a week-end escapade with their lifelong friends, Ellie and Thomas and their two small children, something supernatural starts happening when Ellie and Thomas´s kids start behaving strangely after they disappear in the woods at night, which makes Ben suspect something weird is happening.
Movie Review
This is a movie divided into two parts, which starts slowly and which it is hard to enter in spite of its great start (those fluorescent credits and good camera movement). Then, it relaxes, offers us a presentation of the characters which is rather unsubstantial (daddies and moms a little fed-up with life) and later drops us into terror…...

There’s Something Wrong with the Children opens to the bombastically ominous strains of The Sisters of Mercy’s “More” playing over tinted footage of children running and a storm rolling in. After some brief, inconsequential dialogue the film’s title flashes on the screen in bright green letters. It’s a wonderfully retro note to start things off on.
Ben and Margaret are on vacation with their friends Ellie, Thomas and their kids Spencer (David Mattle; Life & Beth) and Lucy.

Based on the title of this review, I'm sure some readers expect me to eviscerate Blumhouse's "There's Something Wrong with the Children." It's likely those aren't the same people who had diaper discount mailers sent out to them the moment they turned 18. Targeted ads assume having children is what some of us must do -- despite our personal feelings or fiscal abilities to raise, birth, or adopt children. That's incredibly scary, as it reduces body autonomy to be a conditional term for non-parents. (Not to mention the cis-heteronormativity of it all that can trigger gender dysphoria and the deepest of sighs from those who don't want to have children or do but sadly can't in the queer community.)
Before I dive in further, I'd like to give flowers to director Roxanne Benjamin. Unequivocally, she captures how frustrating, confusing, and insulting this attitude feels through Margaret's (Alisha Wainwright) perspective. While the...

Plot: A family takes a weekend trip with longtime friends and their two young children, but, they suspect something supernatural when the kids behave strangely after disappearing into the woods overnight.
Review: There are two kinds of Blumhouse movies: the ones they put a lot of money behind and the ones they drop with little fare, hoping they’ll be a surprise hit. There’s Something Wrong With The Children appears to be the latter. A horror movie about creepy children is essentially a genre staple at this point. We get several every year and their execution is varied. But the setup for this one had a lot of potential, with two friendly couples going out to a cabin in the woods. One of the couples has children and bring them with, while the other has decided not to have children. You can see where there’d be conflict. But...

There's Something Wrong with the Children brings the best of Blumhouse to living rooms everywhere when it arrives on digital platforms on January 17. While M3GAN's AI doll may issue a stern warning against overreliance on technology, the terrors in store for Blumhouse's next project deal with far more supernatural (and therefore uncontrollable) concerns. Directed by Roxanne Benjamin (who has ruled the teen thriller world with her work on everything from One of Us is Lying to Riverdale) and written by T.J. Cimfel and Dave White, There's Something Wrong with the Children is an effectively creepy slow burn.

Blumhouse Television and MGM+ have joined forces to bring audiences a chilling tale of childish terror in There's Something Wrong with the Children, which arrives on digital platforms on January 17. While Blumhouse's film division is already seeing explosive success in 2023 thanks to the killer doll story M3GAN, their next movie deals with parental fears that are more supernatural. Director Roxanne Benjamin is no stranger to the creepy side of youth, either, having previously directed episodes of One of Us is Lying, Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, and Riverdale.
There's Something Wrong with the Children follows two married couples who are close friends, one pairing with children and the other without. When Margaret and Ben offer to babysit Thomas (Carlos Santos) and Ellie's (Amanda Crew) children during a strangely tense weekend away, Ben soon starts witnessing their young charges engaging in unexplainable behaviors. Never let your kids play in a creepy cave out in the middle of nowhere…especially one that features a bottomless pit. The parents in Blumhouse’s There’s Something Wrong with the Children – which just unveiled an official trailer – apparently didn’t get that memo.
The horror film stars Alisha Wainwright (Raising Zion), Zach Gilford (The Midnight Club), Amanda Crew (Silicon Valley), Carlos Santos (The Valet), David Mattle, and Briella Guiza. Body at Brighton Rock‘s Roxanne Benjamin directs from a screenplay by T.J. Cimfel and Dave White.

A cabin in the woods, a struggling marriage, and two giggling children who are ominously covered in blood? The upcoming Blumhouse and Epix collaboration has all the elements for disaster, so it's no wonder that it slots firmly into the horror/psychological thriller genres. It certainly doesn't help that the title alludes to one of horror's most reliable sources of dread, "There's Something Wrong with the Children."
Before supernatural horror even becomes a factor in the plot this film already has one of the most horrifying premises imaginable. When two couples head into the woods for a weekend getaway, one duo convinces the other to watch their children for the night while they take time to hash out some martial issues. Isn't the thought of unanticipated babysitting responsibilities terrifying?! Unfortunately, it only gets worse from here. Somehow, the babysitting couple loses sight of the children in the woods and when they're finally retrieved,...

"When we woke up they were gone!" Paramount + MGM have revealed an official trailer for a freaky horror indie film titled There's Something Wrong with the Children, the latest from indie genre filmmaker Roxanne Benjamin. It's another Blumhouse production, too. This is debuting directly on VOD in January in just a few more weeks from now. A family takes a weekend trip with longtime friends and their two young children, but, they suspect something supernatural when the kids behave strangely after disappearing into the woods overnight. What's going on with these creepy kids? And why are there so many evil kid movies recently? The film stars Alisha Wainwright, Zach Gilford, Amanda Crew, Carlos Santos, Briella Guiza, and David Mattle. This looks like it gets pretty scary with these kids - are they possessed or what? That red outfit one of them is wearing is the perfect costume choice to make it extra unsettling.
