This year’s Stagecoach Festival featured a number of surprise collaborations on stage, but brands also roped in some special guests off stage as well, with daytime activations and late night parties that ranged from guestlist-only affairs to a family-friendly cowboy competition.

Get ready for Grand celebration, NBC honors the 100th anniversary of the Grand Ole Opry on March 19 with a live telecast featuring dozens of country legends and superstars. The three-hour telecast for “Opry 100: A Live Celebration” will feature live performances, tributes and special appearances, and the whole star-studded affair is hosted by “The Voice” alum Blake Shelton.

“Becoming a member of the Opry is a highlight of my life and career, and 15 years later I still get that same feeling of reverence and excitement every time I walk out on that stage,” Shelton said in the event announcement. “The Grand Ole Opry has been connecting the country music family for 100 years, and I’m so proud to be part of this historic celebration.”

NBC’s “Opry 100: A Live Celebration” is adding more performers to the roster for the March 19 special, which will devote three hours to commemorating the 100th anniversary of Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry. The live broadcast will feature performances from Post Malone, Keith Urban, Alison Krauss & Union Station, Alan Jackson, Jamey Johnson, Ricky Skaggs, Terri Clark, Steven Curtis Chapman, Yolanda Adams and Travis Tritt, it was announced Thursday.

The network also revealed a further slate of longstanding Opry members who will be making appearances on the telecast, including Bill Anderson, Jeannie Seely, Lauren Alaina, Sara Evans, Scotty McCreery, Chris Janson and Dustin Lynch.

Blake Shelton is hosting the show from the Opry House in Nashville. Keith Urban will serve as host alongside Entertainment Tonight‘s Rachel Smith.

It’s time for the biggest night in Country. The 58th Annual CMA Awards will air tonight, Wednesday, Nov. 20, and you will not want to miss a beat.

The good news is that it’s easy to watch the awards live. You can tune into ABC from 8/7c tonight, catching all the performances, wins, and more from the comfort of your home. It’s only airing live on ABC.

If you’ve attended a mainstream country concert in the past decade, you’re probably familiar with the part of the set where the headliner sprinkles in a non-obvious cover from an adjacent genre like pop, R&b, or classic rock. It’s a move with any number of purposes: to show an artist’s range of influences, to reel in a drifting crowd with a massive hit, to appeal to a wider audience, or to highlight how fluid and arbitrary genre borders really are when you strip a song back to its essentials.

The country music community has begun mourning Toby Keith, who died Monday at 62 following a battle with cancer. His fans and peers remembered the singer and songwriter as the soundtrack to their lives and a trailblazer in his own right in various tributes shared across social media.

“Saddle up the horses, Jesus, ‘cause a true blue Cowboy just made his ride up to heaven!!! Introduce him to all the Okies and sign that boy up for the choir,” Carrie Underwood wrote on Instagram, sharing a carousel of photos with Keith over the years.

Country star Blake Shelton is going back on the road for his Honky Tonk Tour.

Shelton announced his return to the stage in October and shared that his special guests this time around would be “Thinking ‘Bout You” singer Dustin Lynch and former The Voice contestant Emily Ann Roberts.

The “You Make It Feel Like Christmas” singer will embark on his first tour of the year on February 22 in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and will stop in cities like Austin, Texas, and Portland, Oregon. He will also be making visits to Canada in the first half of the tour and is scheduled to end on March 29 in Wichita, Kansas.

This is not the first Back to the Honky Tonk Tour that Shelton has been on. Last year, he went on an 18-date tour of the same name with Carly Pearce and Jackson Dean.

The most-watched annual New Year’s Eve special, “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest” returns with a global twist: K-pop girl group NewJeans will perform their hit song “Super Shy” live in South Korea, the first-ever performance on “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” from that country.

Ryan Seacrest will serve as host for his 19th year and will lead the live countdown with pop star Rita Ora in Times Square. Performers in New York include LL Cool J, Megan Thee Stallion, Jelly Roll with Jessie Murph, Sabrina Carpenter and Tyla.

With five hours of airtime to fill, CBS’ Nashville-based New Year’s Eve special has to book a significant amount of the stars of country music, and many of those names were announced in a talent rollout Wednesday morning — including the genre’s blockbuster artist of the moment, Morgan Wallen.

Among those also newly announced as joining the lineup for “New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash” are Bailey Zimmerman, Kane Brown, Cody Johnson, Hardy, Carly Pearce, Parker McCollum, Megan Moroney, Jackson Dean, Jon Pardi and Grace Bowers. PepsiCo, one of the most stalwart of Super Bowl advertisers, is taking a title sponsorship in Guy Fieri’s Flavortown Tailgate, a free party organized by the celebrity chef that will be held just minutes away from Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium, the site of Super Bowl Lviii, slated to be broadcast on CBS on February 11, 2024. Fieri held the first Flavortown Tailgate earlier this year at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, close to the action for Super Bowl Lvii.

“I moved to Nashville in 1994 and man, I had a lot of dreams — this was not one of them,” Shelton said as he received his award at the Thursday night ceremony. “I don’t even know what this means, but if the fans want me to have it, I’m damn well going to put it on my mantle.”
