Biography

LaNecia Edmonds was born and raised in Rhode Island. As a child and teen, she was a multi-talented performer, participating in dance, chorus, cheerleading, band, and color guard. Although she knew at a young age that she wanted to pursue acting, her parents encouraged her to seek out a back-up career plan. LaNecia, a hard worker who was determined to not struggle financially, starting working at the age of 14, working two jobs at the age of 17, and then earned a degree in Microbiology and a minor in Chemistry at the University of Rhode Island. Soon after graduating from college, she obtained a job as a Quality Control Analyst for a pharmaceutical company, which gave her the stability and confidence she needed to finally pursue her dream of being an actor. In November of 2010, she threw herself into acting- taking classes, attending auditions, and soaking up as much information as she could about the industry.
