Donald Winbush

Donald Eugene Winbush, was born on May 06, 1968 in Richmond, Virginia. He is the
youngest of three children of a school teacher mother, Anita from Virginia, and a Baptist
Minister, Reginald, from New Jersey. Donald, better known as Donnie, grew up in Elyria Ohio. He loved the open air and the great outdoors, where he could be in the city at one moment, and within a half hour standing in the middle of a corn field 12 feet high.
He was very fond of riding his bike from his home to the local airfield. Donnie would watch the small aircraft take off and land, always dreaming of being a fighter pilot. Throughout his young adult life, he enjoyed many sports including snow skiing, and skate boarding, before it became the popular phenomena it is today. Donnie spent many summers traveling the United States on family vacations. This is where he found the many faces of America and how each region saw the world differently.
After graduating from high school, Donald enrolled at Kent State University intent on a career in politics. He enrolled in Air Force ROTC after finding a pathway to his first love of becoming a fighter pilot. His life turned upside down one day after getting up to march in sync every day at 0500 hours. On a cold and rainy day, his commanding officer took his class to the movies. Not knowing what he was about to see, Donnie was simply happy to get out of class. As he and his ROTC classmates watched the movie Platoon, Donnie saw his life transforming before his eyes, as the realization that his first love came with unimaginable consequences. As he watched the lead characters he found a new love. The ability to become someone else on film without the loss of life in reality was an incredible solution.
That day was one of the most depressing moments in his life. He also was told by his commanding officer that due to his poor eyesight, he would not be able to continue in the program as a pilot. However, he caught the acting bug after watching Platoon. He left Kent State after his first year and completed his degree at CSLA University. While raising a family, he noticed his son Kendal, at a very young age, had the natural ability to perform on stage and in front of the camera. It struck Donnie, now known as Donald (The adult version), that he had never mentioned nor pushed Kendal toward the profession of acting. Kendal performed and graduated from LACHSA, in Los Angeles, and is currently at UCLA. That inspired Donald to continue his dream and he performed as extra and was featured in various indie films and commercials.
He became a professional actor after studying under the world renowned Mayuto Correa from Brazil. Mayuto is well known as a musical genius and percussionist. He is also actor, writer, director, drama teacher and parapsychologist who has established his own acting system which focuses on the spiritual realm of human beings; his method, Para Theatre is a purifying system that equalizes human behavior with godly behavior: that equilibrium allows the body to receive a new person, which is the intended character. Mayuto teaches at his Talent Clinic, an advanced acting course established in 1960. Donald owes his career and his state of being to Mayuto which he deeply appreciates. Donald has continued to pursue excellence as an artist. Donald lives with his wife Marsha in Los Angeles.
