Spirit Breaker is the story of Dave (Peep Show's Liam Noble), a man who will stop at nothing to spend all day every day in the pub. Since escaping from prison in England after being imprisoned for a crime he didn't commit, he is rescued by his best mate Bryan (Simon Pengelly) who transports him to a land far away. Wales. Dave does his best to provide for his wife Belinda (Linda Bailey) and her three children, but it's not as easy as that. Not for Dave at least. Not content with selling mobile phone SIM cards with memorable numbers or running meat raffles twice a week, Dave wants more out of life, but being married to an ex-prostitute with a roving eye comes with it's own set of problems. Will Dave find a way to keep everyone happy and finally become a full member of society once again?
