Listen to This Anthology of 35 Audio-Only Horror Stories For Free
Ramon De Ocampo
We’re all trying to find ways to keep ourselves and/or our families/housemates engaged and entertained during this period of social distancing. Might I suggest a bit of horror?

Tor Books launched its own horror imprint, Nightfire Books, aimed at publishing fiction that “unsettles and delights, exploring the full range of horror, dark fantasy, and the supernatural” back in April. The imprint’s first publication is planned for early 2021, but that doesn’t mean it’s not putting out some chilling content in the meantime.

In February, Nightfire Books launched Come Join Us By the Fire, an audio-only anthology of 35 horror short stories available to listen to for free. The collection offers almost 10 hours of creepy content, is narrated by Gerard Doyle, Ramon de Ocampo, and Saskia Maarleveld, and includes some of our favorite authors, including Joe R. Lansdale, Paul Tremblay, Sam J. Miller, China Miéville, and Carmen Maria Machado.

Boba Fett has officially made his return to the new Star Wars canon. And he's being played by Jon Hamm. It may not be in a movie (yet) but the most feared bounty hunter in the galaxy has returned in the new novel, Star Wars: From a Certain Point of View. The book collects 40 shorts stories from all around the Star Wars universe, and one of those stories just so happens to be about Boba Fett. Now, a new excerpt from the book has been released, previewing Jon Hamm's performance.

USA Today revealed the clip, which comes from the story titled Added Muscle. This particular story was written by Paul Dini (Batman: The Animated Series). As it turns out, this story actually takes place during the famous scene that was added for the 1997 Star Wars special editions, which features Jabba the Hutt confronting Han Solo. In the background,...

The news was revealed by StarWars.com ahead of the release of Star Wars: A Certain Point of View, which is set to arrive on October 3. An all-star cast was assembled for the audiobook, but easily the most notable is the reveal that Jon Hamm is voicing Boba Fett in a short titled Added Muscle, which was written from Fett's perspective by Paul Dini of Batman: The Animated Series fame. One of the book's producers, Alan Blank, had this to...
