Kris Patmo

Kris Patmo was born in Surinam, but grew up in The Netherlands. He made his first short film in 1998 on VHS. 13 years later, he graduated from the Utrecht School of Arts in 2011 as an all-round filmmaker. That same year he co-founded the production company Get Off The Road where he co-produced 2 internationally sold feature films Molly (2017) and Kill Mode (2020), both on Amazon Prime US. Among other things he directed several music videos for artists like Pete Philly and Shireen. He worked as head of an editing department for Dutch television in Hilversum for a few years, and as senior editor and project lead for media house NOMOBO/GPJ in Amsterdam. He regularly creates social media content for the National Dutch Commemoration of the end of WWII in Asia. In 2023 co-created and directed a television series pilot set in London and Amsterdam, that is now in post-production.

Other passions of his include playing musical instruments, and nature photography.
