In an interview, Masashi Kishimoto and Mikio Ikemoto, the two creators of Boruto, discussed the creative process and shared some interesting aspects of the story, such as Code's potential death, Kishimoto's regrets toward Sakura, and more. While talking about the parallel between Kawaki, Boruto, Naruto, and Sasuke, it was revealed that Kawaki's character would be developed soon and would most likely receive a mini-arc at least. This exciting confirmation edges fans closer to the long-awaited showdown between Boruto and Kawaki.
