S.E. King is a director, writer, and producer based in Los Angeles. King's work focuses on often overlooked & underrepresented subjects & protagonists where the heart and the funny are found in our shared universal truths. King helps run Melba Productions, a multi-award-winning production company, with their creative partner, Leah Judge. Melba Productions spotlights the underdog, the disenfranchised, the misunderstood, the eccentric, the bold, and the courageous. Melba Productions recently completed their first documentary feature, Our dad, Danielle, which took home the Best Documentary Jury Award at Manchester Film Festival, the LGBTQ+ Voices Jury Award and Audience Award at Portland Film Festival, and the Audience Award at Vail Film Festival.
