“There’s two of us”: Logan Paul Was Lucky He Didn’t Piss Off Conor McGregor Despite Having Backup
Image
Logan Paul may be a phenomenal wrestler and one of WWE’s rising stars, but he is no match for Conor McGregor, one of the greatest fighters of all time. The two nearly faced off in real life, as McGregor was set to fight Paul earlier this year, though the bout never materialized.

However, they did come face to face at one point, and despite having his brother by his side, Paul chose not to provoke one of UFC’s most legendary fighters. Later, on his own podcast, Paul revealed that he and McGregor were on the verge of exchanging blows but ultimately decided to handle the situation with caution.

Conor McGregor is Done With Fighting: We Have Higher Chances of Seeing Conor in Hollywood Than in UFC
Image
It’s been a long time since Conor McGregor entered the ring, and now it seems like he’s no longer willing to return either. After his leg injury in 2021, once McGregor took a break from UFC, he seemingly never returned for another fight. He certainly made his Hollywood appearance in the Road House remake, but his Mma career seems done for.

On a more recent note, with a run for the Irish presidency, Conor McGregor seemingly hinted that his career may be moving towards being finished. Speaking at a Bkfc media event, he claimed to be satisfied with what he has done and everything that he has achieved so far, but he noted that “something else” has drawn him.

Conor McGregor Earned More Money in 1 Night Than What Brad Pitt and Will Smith Earned in 2024 From Their Movies
Image
Conor McGregor has been biding his time for a comeback to the UFC ever since he took a hiatus to recover from his injury. Since then, he has starred in a film and has been feuding with Logan and Jake Paul, challenging them to a match which might never happen. He has also been making some wild statements on his social media accounts.

McGregor recently received backlash for comparing his salary to the entire Dmitry Bivol and Artur Beterbiev boxing fight. The Notorious claimed that he had earned more money through purse and pay-per-view in his 2021 match against Dustin Poirier than the entire Bivol-Beterbiev fight card combined.

The Notorious revealed that the match was most likely not to happen as the UFC was not interested in the deal. McGregor has been pushing for the boxing match against Logan Paul for a long time now. The rumored purse for each player was reportedly $250 million and was set to take place in Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. Image
The next big event in the world of influencer boxing looks likely to take place in India. That’s where creator, podcaster, and entrepreneur Logan Paul will fight against former UFC star Conor McGregor, according to a statement from McGregor himself.

McGregor broke the news of the Paul fight in a tweet. “The rumors of a bout with [Ilia Topuria] are false,” wrote the 36-year-old Irishman. “I am in preliminary agreements with the Ambani family to face Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India.”

The Ambanis rank among the world’s wealthiest families. Patriarch Mukesh Ambani currently ranks as the richest person in Asia and the 9th-richest person in the world, according to Forbes.

However, based on the most recent updates making the rounds, it looks like he is doing something else instead.

Conor McGregor Has Been Out Of The Octagon A Long Time

One of Conor McGregor’s last notable wins in the UFC was all the way back in January of 2020, when he defeated Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone by Tko. Following that victory, McGregor had two defeats in 2021 at the hands of Dustin Poirier.

Conor was going to fight against Michael Chandler in 2024 as part of UFC 303. However, that fight never came to fruition. McGregor has been dealing with injuries for the last few years, and the pandemic also took a shot at his momentum.

After Conor McGregor Is Seen Partying With Fiancée At A Club, Press Conference For Michael Chandler Fight Is Suddenly Canceled
Image
On Monday, a press conference in Dublin to promote the June 29 match at UFC 303 in Las Vegas between Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler was postponed. The unexpected postponement immediately sparked speculation over McGregor’s availability for the highly anticipated fight.

Photos and videos circulating on social media showed McGregor, 35, out dancing with his fiancée and friends, further fueling the rumors. Fans and media also noted that UFC CEO Dana White did not indicate that the press conference would be postponed when he spoke to reporters at Saturday’s UFC 302 event.

McGregor, a two-time UFC champion, is scheduled to fight Chandler as a welterweight in a five-round, non-title bout. The Irishman has not appeared in a match since he broke his leg and lost by Tko to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in 2021.

In a statement on social media, McGregor implied that the postponement was UFC’s decision and provided little explanation for the sudden change.

Conor McGregor
Iconic Events has reached a deal with UFC to continue presenting the Mma promotion’s pay-per-view events in theaters nationwide through the end of 2022.
