Dillon Daniel Mutyaba was born and raised in Kampala, Uganda. Later, immigrated to the United States. He attained his BA in theatre from University of Arizona. Then, MFA from The Juilliard School of Drama "Group 55". His first leading role was in the independent film "African Giants" which premiered at Slamdance Film Festival.
In interviews, Omar Kamara, director of Audience Award winning, African Giants referred to his lead actor Dillon Daniel Mutyaba as the "Ugandan Marlon Brando" for his presence and naturalism.
