Santosh kolhe is a filmmaker, director and producer of well known Hindi as well as Marathi TV shows, webseries and movies

He started his career as a journalist in Pune while working with newspapers like Loksatta and Mahanagar. He also was a columnist in prominent Marathi magazines.

After moving to documentary film making in 1997, he directed his first documentary "For A Drop Of Water" which tackled the draught and famine in Maharashtra. Later he worked with prominent playwright Vijay Tendulkar for the documentary "shikshan mhanaje" and worked for well the known talk show "Priya Tendulkar Show"as head of research.

Kolhe started his career as an independent Director with his first travel show " Bhatakanti", which was the most popular Marathi show as it aired across channels.

Parallelly in 2001 he directed two rather popular Marathi daily soaps "Sanjsawalya" and "Vartaman" for ETV Marathi.

Moving to Hindi TV, He directed some of the most successful shows of the era; starting with "Nam Gum Jayega" and "Shagun". Working with Ekata Kapoor as a director, He worked on "Kyonki Sans Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi" "Kksum", "Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki", Kahin To Hoga", "Kasar", "K Street Pali Hill", "Bandini" and "Bairy Piya". Most of these shows on aired Star Plus and Sony.

He directed another prominent television show "Raktasambandh" for NDTV Imagine. In the same period followed by "Dil Se Di Dua Saubhagyavati Bhava"

His debut as a film director was for the critically acclaimed Marathi Feature Film "Made In China"; Which won the 'best film' star screen award and Maharashtra State award for Best Social Drama.

His foray in the industry as a producer in Marathi TV started in 2012.

He produced and directed shows like Dholkichya Talvar, Zunja Marathamoli , Baaji, Ghetala Vasa Taku Nako and many more. His upcoming Marathi Feature Film is Sa la te sa la na te and he is directing Marathi webseries Gemadpanthi for Marathi OTT platform Planet Marathi.
