Luís Moreira was born in Lisbon, Portugal. He is a Portuguese actor, award winning stage director and voice teacher.

Luís is a middle child. He grew up in Alenquer, where he lived until he was eighteen. He moved to Lisbon and graduated in Psychology. After college he decided to go to acting school so he could pursue his dream of acting professionally.

He was cast while in his second year of school for his first role in Lisbon's National Theatre (TNDMII) in "Danton's Death". After that he worked with three theatre companies in Lisbon, on productions of "Romeo and Juliet", "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead", and "Depois da Revolução" his first experience in musical theatre.

In 2014 he translated, directed and starred in his own production of "Pool (no water)" from Mark Ravenhill. Later that year he directed his second play, "Fräulein Else" from Arthur Schnitzler, inspired by Sigmund Freud's topographical model of the mind, specifically the unconscious mind. In 2016 he directed and starred as Valene in "The Lonesome West" from Martin McDonagh. Later that year he directed "A Cidade" from Gonçalo M Tavares, which granted him the José Boavida Award for best professional play. In January 2017 Luís forms a theatre company called "Espaço em Branco", along with his friend and producer, Luna Rebelo, and it's first production was "Twelfth Night".

Luís continues to work as an actor and voice teacher. Along with this own productions, he helped form another theatre company, "Teatro Língua", and frequently collaborates with "Teatro do Vão".
