During his high school career, Gurley's team won three consecutive 2A State Championships. In addition to football, Gurley ran track for Team USA in Europe during the Spring and Summer of 2011. At college, Gurley is second in school history with 4,322 all-purpose yards and 3,285 rushing yards, trailing Herschel Walker (5,749). He is one of only four Bulldogs to have 3,000-plus yards rushing in his career. Signing with the Rams in 2015, Gurley played in 13 games and finished the season leading the team in rushes (229) and rushing yards (1,108) and 10 touchdowns, earning him a Pro Bowl selection.
