Davy Lantz Jr is a small town filmmaker from Thurmont, MD, born in Frederick, MD.
He grew up with his parents David Lantz Sr and Barbara Lantz of Frederick County, MD, with his younger brother Joshua Lantz.
He now resides in Thurmont, MD with his two kids Tyler Lantz and Abbigail Lantz, as well as his mother Barabara Lantz. He is CEO/Co-Owner of Equinox Production Group, a small Independent Film Company based out of Thurmont, MD along with Co-Owners Jake Waybright, Cori Coulter, George Liu, and Josue Salinas. EPGfilm as they go by, has produced, filmed, and distributed 1 full feature titled The Ungulate (2019), along with distributing Bottom Creek (2017), and on December 10th, 2021 they completed their 2nd full feature as a company, Mortician (2021) which was an Official Selection and Golden Stake Award Winner at Shockfest Film Festival 2021, where it has made it's World Premiere on their Platform.
In 2023, Davy started Lantz Studios a second production company under himself, and began production on a short film titled El Leprechaun Mexicano: A Tale of Fortune as producer and director of photography. Beginning in August of 2023, Davy has enrolled and began his educational career at Los Angeles Film School studying for his Bachelor's of Science in Digital Filmmaking (Online program). His goal to further his knowledge in filmmaking, will open more opportunities and possibilities for his future in the film industry.
Davy's Credits include Producing, Editing, Directing, and Acting, along with others. Some of his major credits include Directing, Producing, and Acting in The Ungulate (2019), Producing and Acting in Bottom Creek (2017), Acting and Producing the short film Jack Tarmite: The Beginning (2019), Co-Directing, Producing, Editing, and Acting in Mortician (2021); and even way back to his first ever production he was a part of by Acting in Hogmaul: The Legend of Abrams County (2013).
