Vampire Road Movie ‘Bogieville’ Sets FrightFest World Premiere: "British filmmaker, actor and “professional movie villain” Sean Cronin’s feature vampire road movie Bogieville has set its World Premiere at the 25th anniversary edition of the UK horror fan fantasy film festival FrightFest, taking place August 22-26 in London, England.

Bogieville – which was directed by Cronin from a screenplay by Henry P. The project from Cinedigm, Roundtable Entertainment and Clay Epstein’s Film Mode Entertainment is shooting in Vancouver, Canada, with an ensemble cast that includes Jennifer Ens, Ali Fumiko Whitney, Justin Derickson, Julian Haig, Cardi Wong, Jack Doupe-Smith and Michaella Russell.

With a screenplay by Josh Sims and Jessica Sarah Flaum, All My Friends Are Dead follows college friends at a big music festival where a weekend of partying quickly becomes a nightmare as the group is murdered one by one. When the friends realize each horrific death corresponds to one of the seven deadly sins, it’s only a matter of time before everyone’s number is up.

Cinedigm already picked up the North American rights to the film financed by Banc of California, Budding Equity and others.

Who is Jake? Played by Cardi Wong, he’s a teenager growing up in an Asian Canadian family, already caught, at least in the eyes of those around him, between two separate identities. He lives with his mother and father, but the tension between them is palpable. His father, pursuing a lost dream of his own, tries to get him to play basketball, and because he’s not very good at it (largely due to a lack of any genuine interest), he falls short of the received idea of what makes a man. Meanwhile, his girlfriend Valerie (Parmiss Sehat) wants them to lose their virginity together, but something doesn’t feel right – and he finds himself strangely drawn to the confident young gay guy who has just moved in across the road.

The animated series adaptation of “The Supernatural Academy” books by Jaymin Eve has been ordered at Peacock, Variety has learned exclusively.

Variety originally reported the series was in the works from 41 Entertainment back in October 2019. The half-hour series will debut on Peacock on Jan. 20, 2022. The first season will consist of 16 episodes.
