Asha Chai-Chang is an Emmy Winning Producer and Studio Writer/Director. Asha is an Afro-Latina and Caribbean-Asian female director with disabilities. She disrupts stigmas throughout the entertainment industry by creating accessible and inclusive sets for productions and advocating for diverse storytelling. A Yale graduate, former finance professional, and Production Accessibility Coordinator for studios including Amazon, Apple, and ABC/ Hulu, Ms. Chai-Chang impacts positive change beyond the silver screen. Asha is also one of the Co-Founders of Slamdance Unstoppable - a film program at the Academy Award and BAFTA qualifying Film Festival dedicated to uplifting films with or by disabled talent and filmmakers. Simultaneously on screen, she has written and directed films that have been recognized by Oscar-qualifying film festivals and the NAACP. Asha is creating a preschool animated Spanish bilingual TV series, WENDY ON WHEELS, followed by her recent tri-lingual (Spanish, English, ASL) sitcom proof of concept film and series, MARQUE DOS, which premiered at Academy Award Qualifying Film Festivals and will be on tour Fall of 2024.
