Laurent Pitre

Laurent is a bilingual actor, writer, director, and coach. He played the pivotal part of "Big Time" in the hilarious final season of "Future Man" on Hulu and a cold-blooded killer named Andrew Kay in the true-crime CBC series "The Detectives". In 2020, Laurent won the February edition of the National Monologue Slam, hosted at Bad Dog Theatre in Toronto. In 2021, he appeared in "Peace by Chocolate", telling the true story of Syrian refugees, and starred in "Stranded", a sci-fi film about suicide. That year, his short film, "Give Time", about grieving lost love, won Best Short Film at the Ontario International Film Festival and the Toronto International Lift-Off Film Festival. In 2022, "Give Time" continued its success with three awards at YES! Let's Make a Film Fest (Best Film, Best Director & Best Actress), including a Best Actor win for Laurent in "Stranded". He also played alongside Andrew Garfield, Sam Worthington, and Wyatt Russell in the Emmy-nominated limited series "Under the Banner of Heaven" on Disney+. He went on to do multiple projects, including upcoming major roles in "Les battues" which premiered in the 2023 SXSW Film Festival, and "The Sacrifice Game", an AMC Studios & Shudder production, which won the Audience Award at the 2023 Fantasia Film Festival. In 2023, Laurent got into music, performing at open mics for the first time in his life, and within that year, he released his first EP album, called "three little words". That same year, he played a pivotal role in the newest season of FX's "Fargo", CityTV's "Hudson & Rex" and the CBC limited series "Something Undone".
