Kylie is a bold, visionary director and writer whose work has captivated audiences at international film festivals, earning awards for Best Direction, Best Drama, Best Comedy, and Artist of the Year. Her feature directorial debut-shot in New York City on a shoestring budget-defied the odds, winning Best Drama, landing multiple directing nominations, securing a distribution deal, and continues to generate revenue long after its release. Now, she's raising the stakes with Reverence, a psychological thriller in post-production and poised to hit the festival circuit in 2026.
Her latest project, the proof-of-concept short My Missing Year, took home Best Short Drama at the Northern Virginia International Film Festival, further cementing her reputation as a rising force in independent cinema.
Kylie's on-set experience is equally impressive. As a 2nd Unit Director, she's worked on high-profile productions including Billy the Kid (MGM) and My Life with the Walter Boys (Netflix), where she learned to thrive in fast-paced, high-stakes environments. She is grateful to have been mentored by several acclaimed directors, most notably Otto Bathurst, whose guidance has helped shape her distinctive voice and cinematic style. With a keen eye for story, a strong command of logistics, and a relentless creative drive, Kylie consistently delivers work that's on time, on budget, and impossible to ignore. She is a proud member of the Directors Guild of Canada, The Australian Directors Guild, and the Australian Writers' Guild, and has trained at prestigious programs including UCLA Extension and NYU Professional Studies. Before stepping behind the camera, Kylie led a very different kind of creative life-as a professional chef working around the globe. The intensity of the kitchen honed her leadership, deepened her grit, and taught her the value of collaboration under pressure. An adventurer at heart, Kylie draws on her richly varied life experience to tell bold, emotionally charged stories that resonate deeply-and leave a lasting impact.
