Born on Monday, June 4, 1962 in Rome, Italy. Ruggedly handsome, brown curly haired, blue eyed, round shape faced Singer Maurizio Cerantola first started out as the lead singer of the one hit Italian Hard Rock/Heavy Metal band in 1985, Shout with Mark Rossetti on lead guitar, Mario Zaccagnini (who later composed the rock songs with Stefano Mainetti as part of the late Lucio Fulci's Zombi 3 (1988) movie soundtrack) on bass and Massimo Marchione (who also played drums and percussions for the Italian Disco band Via Verdi) on drums and percussions. Their one hit song was "Break It Up" which can be heard on the "Metallo Italia" (1985) album and video. The song can also be heard on the radio during the scene when our heroes are partying on the boat at the beginning of the late Bruno Mattei's Robowar (1988) Action-Adventure/Science Fiction/Comedy movie.

Then after his departure from Shout, he went solo for awhile and then was hired by his friend, music producer and former manager Al Festa (Former Keyboardist of one hit Italian Disco/Funk band, Metropole) to sing for Bruno Mattei's Cop Game (1988) (Starring Brent Huff, Max Laurel, the late legendary Romano Puppo, the late gorgeous Candice Daly, Werner Pochath, Robert Marius, Claudio Fragasso, Don Wilson, and Massimo Vanni) Action-Crime Vietnam War Movie Soundtrack and Claudio Fragasso's After Death (Oltre la morte) (1989) (Starring Jeff Stryker, Candice Daly, Massimo Vanni, Jim Gaines, the late Nick Nicholson, the beautiful Adrianne Joseph, Jim Moss, Don Wilson, Fausto Lombardi, Alberto Dell'Acqua, Ottaviano Dell'Acqua, James Edward Sampson and Romano Puppo) Horror movie Soundtrack.

Then from 1993 till 1997, Maurizio started joining the Italian Led Zeppelin tribute band, Custard Pie as the lead singer.

Then in 2006, he started singing in an Italian Whitesnake tribute band called Cover-Dale with Federico Raimondi on lead guitar, Adriano Clienti on bass, Paolo Busenti on keyboards, and Luciano Bilotti on drums and percussions. Two years later, the band split up.

Then after Cover-Dale, Maurizio became popular and is now known for singing in his new band Snake's Shadow, another Italian Tribute Rock band to Whitesnake. With Federico Raimondi on lead guitar, Marco K-Ace on lead guitar (who took Federico Raimondi's place as the new lead guitarist after he had left in 2013), Gilberto Giangolini on rhythm guitar, Thomas Bianchi on bass, Marco Quagliozzi on keyboards and Hammond organ and Mario Quagliozzi on drums and percussions.
