Matthew Chizever

Chizever is a 2 time Silver Palm Award winner (2009 - Outstanding New Talent for the '08-'09 season; 2014 - Outstanding Performance in a Play for his performance as Jean in "Miss Julie" with The Naked Stage Theatre Company). He is also a 4 time Carbonell Award nominee for the category "Best Actor in a Musical" having been nominated for his performances as Georges in "La Cage Aux Folles" (Broward Stage Door Theatre - 2008), Alferd Packer in "Cannibal! the Musical" (The Promethean Theatre - 2009), Professor Henry Higgins in "My Fair Lady" (Broward Stage Door Theatre - 2013), and Mr. Applegate in "Damn Yankees" (Broward Stage Door Theatre - 2014). Most recently, he received his 5th nomination for a Carbonell Award, this time for Best Actor in a Play for his performance as Jean in "Miss Julie" (The Naked Stage Theatre Co. - 2014). He also won a BroadwayWorld Award for Best Actor in a Play for his performance in Naked Stage's 2014 production of "Miss Julie".
