Frantzy Moreau is a first generation Haitian American, born in Miami, FL and raised in Homestead , FL. A writer/director, actor, editor. Frantzy is the third of five children.
At the age of eight he began developing his love for filmmaking and acting after his first movie-going experience of watching 'The Mummy' (1999). At fifteen his mother was throwing out a camcorder but he took it and began creating home movies as narrative shorts and features to show his family. At sixteen he studied filmmaking through self-directed education e.g. local library books and applied filming despite his low socioeconomic conditions.
Moreau's films have been screened nationally at festivals including the Pan African Film Festival, American Black Film Festival, Oxford Film Festival, Miami Film Festival, and the Micheaux Film Festival where his short Piece received Outstanding Panavision Short Award and has been featured on BRON Studios digital platforms. He's received Best Online Drama at 44th Annual Telly Awards and Best Actor for his film 'boy.with.angel.wings' and his film 'In A Lifetime' aired on Fox Soul's Screening Room where he was interviewed by Vivica A. Fox, also winning Best Writer for Short Film at Queen Palm International Film Festival.
