We're finally going to learn some firm details about Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order this April. It's been confirmed that the upcoming video game, which is being developed by Respawn, is set to be revealed at a panel during Star Wars Celebration in Chicago. We've known that this game is coming for some time, but its details have remained largely mysterious. Lucasfilm is finally ready to lift up the curtain as they prep for its fall launch.

According to Lucasfilm, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be front-and-center during a panel scheduled for Saturday, April 13 at Star Wars Celebration. It hasn't been revealed what else they will be discussing or showing off at the panel but this is going to be the centerpiece, which makes sense, given that it's the only video game project (that we know of) within the franchise that's far enough along to truly give us much to look at.

Today brought the joyous announcement that we’re getting a second live-action Star Wars TV series alongside The Mandalorian. As you’ve surely heard by now, it’ll be a prequel to Rogue One starring Diego Luna as Rebel spy Cassian Andor and will premiere exclusively on the newly-christened streaming service Disney +.

Star Wars fans naturally went crazy at the news that we’re getting more from the 2016 movie, which has already become a firm favorite of the fandom. What’s more, it seems Cassian has a lot of love from Rogue One devotees. Just check out these tweets for evidence.

Ever since Mon Mothma said, “Many Bothans died to bring us this information” in Return of the Jedi, Star Wars fans have been wondering just what the hell Bothans were.

The now non-canon extended universe imagined them as a race of vaguely feline aliens, and there’s a long-running joke that Mothma was actually referring to an individual named ‘Manny Bothans.’ One thing that’s generally assumed though is that they’re some unseen alien race. But that might not be the case if this comment by Matt Martin, Lucasfilm executive and member of the Story Group, is anything to go by.

The story begins in the recently released Star Wars: Alien Archive book, billed as the ultimate species guide for those wanting to find out about everything from ‘Wookiees, wampas and Weequays; Biths, banthas and bogwings; porgs, puffer pigs and Pau’ans”. But, notable by their absence, were Bothans.

A lot of Star Wars fans, not all of them, love to complain about seemingly anything in regard to George Lucas' creations. Disney has been the main target of the venom lately, trashing The Last Jedi, forcing Kelly Marie Tran from social media due to racist and other terrible comments, and complaining about nearly everything. Some complaints, or opinions, are warranted, but some are just nitpicky. For instance, a Star Wars fan took to social media to raise some questions about Obi-Wan's Jedi robe in A New Hope, which led to an official response from Lucasfilm.

Twitter user Dennis Diclaudio noted that Obi-Wan Kenobi was dressed in robes in A New Hope in an effort to blend in on Tatooine. The idea is that Obi-Wan could walk around freely without anybody recognizing that he was a Jedi. Diclaudio insinuates that this is a significant plot hole and calls it "ridiculous.

Star Wars fans, eh? When we’re not busy bullying Kelly Marie Tran or moaning about Solo, we’re going back and nitpicking on *gasp* the Original Trilogy and A New Hope in particular.

Whereas the mistreatment of Tran is out-and-out, plain disgusting and the Solo moans are largely unwarranted, this is more of a curiosity from a fan. Which is fine, as we all have plenty, right?

Taking to Twitter, Dennis Diclaudio raised the question about Obi-Wan that we’d all been asking for a long time: “Why doesn’t he remember delivering Baby Leia?” See below:

E3 Coliseum returns to Los Angeles this year, and it’s lined up some big names in Hollywood and the video game industry for three full days of panels and presentations.

“Westworld” series creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy will talk about the hit HBO show on Tuesday, June 12. Actor Elijah Wood will appear that day as well. He’s lending his vocal talents to Ubisoft’s upcoming thriller “Transference” and Bandai Namco’s upcoming World War I adventure game “11-11: Memories Retold.” Other guests that day include “Death Stranding” and “Metal Gear” series creator Hideo Kojima and actor Jack Black.

The Wednesday, June 13 lineup includes “Avengers: Infinity War” director Joe Russo and Camilla Luddington, voice and motion capture actress for Square Enix’s recent “Tomb Raider” series. Film director Darren Aronofsky will appear during a slate of panels on Thursday, June 14.

The new Star Wars canon has slowly been rolling out in the form of novels, and while not everything from the past has made its way into the new stuff, a few very odd things have. In fact the latest novel Last Shot, which is a prequel Lando/Han novel leading up to Solo: A Star Wars Story, features a cameo by a character from the universe who was previously only known to poor kids who couldn't afford actual Star Wars toys:

The latest episode of The Star Wars Show features the Lucasfilm Star Wars story group talking about Rian Johnson's The Last Jedi for about thirty minutes. The Star Wars Show host Andi Gutierrez speaks with the Lucasfilm Story Group's Leland Chee, Pablo Hidalgo, Matt Martin, and Rayne Roberts about the secrets of the latest film in the saga. They talk about all kinds of things including Han Solo's dice from the Millennium Falcon.

I'm sure you remember near the end of the movie when Luke Skywalker hands Leia the dice. This was a touching moment, but at the same time, some people were confused as to why these dice played such a big role.

It's explained that J.J. Abrams originally had a scene in The Force Awakens that showed Han Solo return to the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon for the first time, and he puts the dice back up.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi‘s been out for nearly a month now and so far, has been met with widespread critical acclaim. That said, there is a certain disquiet rumbling amongst a subset of the fandom due to the movie’s bold choices and unexpected turns. In contrast to the familiar, nostalgia-tinged The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi is keen to challenge our presumptions about the saga.

All that said, it’s still made with a lot of love for what has come before and as such features many a nod to the previous films in the franchise. There are some great obvious ones, for example, such as R2-D2 replaying Leia’s hologram message from A New Hope, the attack on Crait calling back to the Battle of Hoth and, last but not least, the poorly-kept secret that was Yoda’s cameo.
