Several years ago my college roommate took on a free opportunity to write in a local newspaper. An assignment came up to cover a local film festival, she was assigned to escort the Chief Critic from a major city's largest newspaper.

They spent lots of time together mostly watching and discussing films. The big-city critic liked her knowledge, instincts, and love of films, so after the festival, he assigned her work as an occasional freelance reviewer and interviewer.

A few years later, after they had built a strong working relationship, he decided to retire and convinced his bosses to name her as his successor.

Are you waiting for someone to notice your talent and /or skill(s)?

Your "Ask' is the only obstacle to your success...

It's an employer's market.. 87% of employers can post a NOW HIRING sign up, in just moments the HR department will receive a generous number of inquiries.

So I suggest, you get off your "Ask," by creating an opportunity to assist / volunteer / intern and (or) freelance for a company in your area of interest. Listen.. What you are not willing to do nor willing to get off your "Ask" There's a line of determined individuals who are willing to "Ask." It's your "Ask" on the line.

In closing, as the CEO & Publisher of Exposure Magazine. I've watched dozens walk out of my office, who lack passion and the ability to go beyond the expected
