Evan Morton is a Los Angeles-based filmmaker whose work blends emotional depth with provocative social themes. Raised in a creative household, Evan was introduced to cinema through classics like Psycho, Jaws, Rocky, The Godfather, 2001: A Space Odyssey, and Platoon, thanks to his father's deep love of storytelling. That early exposure sparked a lifelong passion for film.
Evan began his creative journey shooting skate videos around the San Fernando Valley. In 2007, he set a Guinness World Record at the X-Games for the most consecutive double kickflips. Since then, he has built a career behind the camera and in post-production, with credits on a wide range of acclaimed nonfiction television programs, including the 9-time Emmy Award-winning docuseries Life Below Zero.
Deeply influenced by The Twilight Zone and Star Trek, Evan gravitates toward stories where the visuals elevate, rather than overshadow, the story, and ambitious concepts remain personal and grounded. His latest short documentary, Folsom's Run, about a wolf-dog rescue mission and the blurred line between wild and domestic life, premieres at Dances With Films in 2025. He is currently working on a documentary titled War on Wolves and has a narrative feature, The Infamous Five, in development.
