Wicked: For Good Gets A "First Look" Featurette And Two New Posters Highlighting Elphaba And Glinda
Image
Last year, Wicked became a cultural sensation and quickly established itself as the most successful Broadway film adaptation of all time. This November, it reaches its epic, electrifying, emotional conclusion in Wicked: For Good.

As we first reported on SFFGazette.com, Universal Pictures has just conjured up an extended featurette for the movie (billed as a "First Look"), along with two gorgeous new character posters putting the spotlight on the sequel's leads.

If you didn't like the first movie, chances are Wicked: For Good isn't for you. However, after the first instalment grossed $729 million at the worldwide box office, we'd say this one has a good shot at being one of 2025's few billion-dollar hits.

Directed once again by award-winning director Jon M. Chu and starring the spectacular returning cast, led by Academy Award-nominated superstars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, the final chapter of the untold story of the witches...

Another Featurette for Part 2 'Wicked: For Good' - Jon M. Chu's Sequel
Image
"It's wild. It's unbridled." Universal has debuted a new 3-minute featurette for Jon M. Chu's Wicked: For Good, opening in theaters everywhere in November this fall. The much anticipated sequel to Wicked from last year, even more magical Part 2. This behind-the-scenes look complements the first trailer a few months back. For Good is the second chapter of this immersive, cultural celebration. "It's really about them trying to get back together in some way, even if the fates don't allow that." As an angry mob rises up against the Wicked Witch, Glinda and Elphaba will need to come together one final time. With their strong friendship now the fulcrum of their futures, they will need to truly see each other, with honesty and empathy, if they are to change themselves, and all of Oz, for good. Cynthia Erivo stars as Elphaba Thropp, a young woman with green skin who becomes the Wicked Witch.

Why Marie Accepts Starlight's Mission In Gen V Season 2 Explained By Boys Spinoff Star
Image
Gen V star Jaz Sinclair has shed some light on Marie Moreau's upcoming partnership with Starlight in season 2. Though The Boys and Gen V can technically be watched independently, there's no denying that Gen V's story has greatly impacted the franchise's flagship show.

The supe-killing virus introduced in Gen V season 1 was a focal point in The Boys season 4, and now, Gen V season 2 looks primed to act as a bridge between The Boys seasons 4 and 5. The trailers for Gen V season 2 have promised appearances by The Deep (Chace Crawford), Black Noir (Nathan Mitchell), Firecracker (Valorie Curry), and, most importantly, Starlight (Erin Moriarty).

As the shows unravel the link between Vought and Godolkin University, Starlight asks Marie to help her uncover and stop an ongoing research program: Project Odessa. Project Odessa's aim is currently unknown, but it was created by God U's founder, Thomas Godolkin (Ethan Slater). So,...

“Gen V” Season 2: Official Trailer Unveils Dark Campus Conflict & The Boys Crossovers
Madeline Mallory and Jaz Sinclair
Amazon Prime Video has dropped the official trailer for Gen V Season 2—first revealed at San Diego Comic‑Con (Sdcc) 2025—alongside confirmation that the series will premiere on September 17, 2025, releasing the first three episodes immediately, with the rest following weekly through October 22.

A New Era at Godolkin University

The trailer picks up after Season 1’s explosive finale: Marie Moreau (Jaz Sinclair), Emma Meyer (Lizze Broadway), Jordan Li (London Thor & Derek Luh), and others awaken imprisoned in Elmira Adult Rehabilitation Center. They’re mysteriously returned to a transformed Godolkin University, now ruled by Dean Cipher (Hamish Linklater), who has implemented a Hunger Games–style militarization of supes, complete with gladiatorial training and suppression of powers via colored collars.

Honoring a Legacy: Andre’s Absence Addressed

The death of actor Chance Perdomo in March 2024 led producers to decide against recasting his character, Andre Anderson. The trailer directly addresses Andre’s absence through his father,...

‘Wicked: For Good’ Star, 24, Gives the Sequel's Plot a Magical Update [Exclusive]
Image
Magic is in the air, as we’re now only four months away from the arrival of Wicked: For Good, which will cap off the feature-length adaptation of the Tony Award-winning musical of yesteryear. After collecting heaping piles of cash at the box office last year with the first half, all eyes are on the skies to see just how high the second part of the Jon M. Chu-helmed musical film will soar. Those of us out there who first fell in love with the show when it was on Broadway with Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel in the leading roles have a solid idea of what to expect from the next installment, but we also know that the creative team have extended the story a bit through extra scenes and songs that will better fill out the tale of the two besties-turned-faux-enemies.

Over the weekend, during the Sdcc festivities,...

Gen V Season 2 Trailer Brings The Boys Spin-Off Back To God U — And Into Homelander’s America
Image
Packing an abundance of surreal sex scenes, prosthetic penises, and Tarantino shamingly bloody violence, Gen V made itself right at home in Amazon's r-rated The Boys universe when it landed on Prime Video back in 2023. Now, almost two years later — and with Billy Butcher and co's final The Boys outing growing ever nearer — Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters' carnage-filled, college-set spin-off is about to enter its sophomore year as Season 2 promises to take us back to a very different Godolkin University than the one we left behind. Check out the new trailer for the latest series below and you'll see what we mean;

Hamish Linklater as creepy new Dean Cipher. Supes being trained as soldiers. Annie January (Erin Moriarty) on the run. God U students getting collared and tased. Welcome to Homelander's America, folks. Yes, after that massively consequential The Boys Season 4 finale, it looks like the ramifications of Homelander...

Netflix’s Sylvester Stallone-Backed Drama Enters Global Top 10 Chart(Photo Credit –Facebook)

Netflix has a way of pulling you into stories that feel almost too intense to be true. Lost on a Mountain in Maine, a survival drama backed by Sylvester Stallone, is one of those. It dives into the real-life nightmare of a 12-year-old boy stranded alone in the wilderness for nine days.

According to Collider, the young kid, Donn Fendler, played by Luke David Blumm, gets lost in the deep Maine forest. Shocking cameos, new characters, emotional tributes: 5 biggest takeaways from ‘Gen V’ Season 2 panel at Comic-Con
Image
The second season of Gen V is all about leveling up.

Fans of The Boys universe packed Ballroom 20 on Friday as Prime Video hosted the first-ever San Diego Comic-Con panel for Gen V. Showrunner Michele Fazekas and cast members Jaz Sinclair (Marie Moreau), Maddie Phillips (Cate Dunlap), London Thor (female Jordan Li), Derek Luh (male Jordan Li), and Hamish Linklater (Dean Cipher) answered questions from moderator and franchise star P.J. Byrne, who stayed in character the entire time as his narcissistic director, Adam Bourke.

Here are the five biggest takeaways we learned about Gen V Season 2 at Comic-Con.

The Boys Cameos

The official trailer for the second season of the spin-off series was screened for the crowd, with Dean Cipher's ominous quote, "You can all level up under the right amount of pressure," being of key interest for fans. The two-minute video also teased three shocking The Boys cameos from...

‘Gen V’ Showrunner On Paying Tribute To Chance Perdomo With Season 2: “No. 1 Thing We Wanted To Do”
Image
Gen V showrunner Michele Fazekas opened up about how the second season of the college-set superhero series would honor late cast member Chance Perdomo.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly at San Diego Comic-Con, the producer explained how paying tribute to Perdomo and his character Andre Anderson was top of mind going into the sophomore installment of The Boys spinoff.

“[That was] probably the No. 1 thing we wanted to do,” Fazekas said of commemorating the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina alum. “Just watching the show and watching even just the trailer for it … we did it so long ago and I remember being in the writer’s room and talking about how important it was to honor him. And then when you watch the show, he exists throughout the entire season. It was, in many ways, about Andre and about Chance. And, yeah, I’m very proud of that actually.”

Perdomo died as a result...

Despite a 53% Rotten Tomatoes Score, This Sylvester Stallone-Produced Survival Drama Is a Global Streaming Hit
Image
There are some movies that can make you involved in the story with their premise alone. That seems to be the case with Lost on a Mountain in Maine, a survival drama produced by Sylvester Stallone (Tulsa King) that is rapidly climbing the charts on Netflix. First released in 2024, the movie tells the horrifying true story of a 12-year-old boy who gets trapped in a hostile mountain environment for nine days in Maine.

If Lost on a Mountain in Maine was not a real story, viewers would be curious enough to see how young Donn Fendler (Luke David Blumm) survives some of the worst days of his life in the forest. The fact that it was all real makes it even more compelling. The movie brings some real-life accounts from the people that witnessed the events in order to better convey all the emotions that were going through the minds...

Gen V season 2 gets a new trailer ahead of September premiere
Image
Season 2 of Gen V, a spin-off from the satirical superhero series The Boys, is set to premiere on Prime Video with three episodes (just like the first season premiered with three episodes) on September 17th – and a new trailer for the new season has emerged out of San Diego Comic-Con! You can check it out in the embed above.

Here’s the synopsis for Gen V: Set in the diabolical world of The Boys, Gen V expands the universe to Godolkin University, the prestigious superhero-only college where students train to be the next generation of heroes—preferably with lucrative endorsements. You know what happens when supes go bad, but not all superheroes start out corrupt. Beyond the typical college chaos of finding oneself and partying, these kids are facing explosive situations … literally. As the students vie for popularity and good grades, it’s clear that the stakes are much higher when super powers are involved.

Arnold Schwarzenegger Returns to Predator After 38 Years in Shocking Franchise Comeback
Image
The Predator universe just dropped a massive twist at San Diego Comic-Con 2025, and fans are still buzzing. A new extended version of the animated Predator: Killer of Killers was revealed, and it includes a jaw-dropping ending that changes everything.

The big shock? Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Dutch Schaefer is officially back in the franchise for the first time since 1987. And this time, it’s not just a wink to fans, it’s part of the actual story.

The animated film now ends with a slow pan across a cryo chamber filled with captured warriors. In the final shots, viewers see three familiar faces frozen in stasis: Naru from Prey (played by Amber Midthunder), Mike Harrigan from Predator 2 (Danny Glover), and yes, Dutch himself.

It confirms that these characters are alive, but they’ve been taken by the Yautja (aka the Predators) and frozen on their home planet. The franchise just...

Who’s in the New Cast of ‘Gen V’? The Boys and The Wicked Stars Join the Crew
Image
The Boys and Wicked both have quite impressive casts, and their worlds now seem to be colliding with Ethan Slater and Erin Moriarty joining the cast of Gen V. While the Prime Video series and the musical both have garnered acclaim for the actors’ performances, the two haven’t crossed paths due to their differing genres. That was, until The Boys’ spin-off series came into the picture. The series has just released its season 2 trailer, and it features Slater, as well as stars from the parent series, including Moriarty and Chace Crawford.

While audiences can expect The Boys’ stars to get back into character smoothly, Slater could become a cause for concern. The reason for this is that the Wicked actor played quite a soft character in the film, which is nowhere close to the kind of story the series does. Since he is set to play an important character,...

Gen V: Erin Moriarty Returns As Starlight In Bloody Season 2 Sdcc Trailer
Image
A new trailer for the second season of Gen V debuted during San Diego Comic-Con this evening, and has now been released online.

The teaser begins with Jaz Sinclair as blood-manipulating Marie Moreau, tangling with ferocious Supe Dogknott, who gets the better of her until a familiar face comes to the rescue. Erin Moriarty is set to reprise her role as Starlight, and she won't be the only character from The Boys to make an appearance during season 2.

In addition, Wicked star Ethan Slater is joining the cast as Thomas Godolkin, the founder of the school.

In the season 1 finale, Marie and some of her classmates were rounded up by Homelander and his forces, and we saw the same thing happen to Hughie, Frenchie, Mm and Kimiko in the season 4 finale of The Boys. It seems interned Supes are going to form some kind of resistance to fight back against...

‘Gen V’ Season 2 Trailer Debuts At Comic-Con, Teasing Plenty Of ‘The Boys’ Cameos & Reveals Ethan Slater As Thomas Godolkin As Young Supes Return To School In Homelander’s America
Image
Gen V is packing a punch with its second season, which was teased to attendees at the series’ Friday Comic-Con panel via the debut of the first full trailer.

Let’s just say, there’s a lot to unpack. Jaz Sinclair’s Marie begrudgingly agrees to return to Godolkin University — but only after Annie January (Erin Moriarty) tracks her down to insist upon it. That cameo reveal was met with loud cheers in the room, and little did the crowd know what was to come.

As we know, things are a bit different now that Homelander has taken over America and, naturally, the ripple effects have extended to the college campus, where Hamish Linklater’s Dean Cipher is doing things…a little differently. Per the Season 2 description, he’s got his sights set on a curriculum that promises to make students more powerful than ever. But, in Homelander’s America,...

‘Gen V’ Season 2 Trailer Promises Uncovered Secrets, Lots of Blood
Image
The first season of Gen V never shied away from gore — as one would expect from a spinoff of The Boys — and it looks like the second one won’t either.

Prime VIdeo unveiled a trailer for the forthcoming season of Gen V Friday at Comic-Con, and it skimps on neither the over-the-top moments that are a hallmark of the Boys-verse nor the intrigue at Godolkin University, where the show’s supes-in-training attend college.

The trailer debuted as part of a Comic-Con session that featured castmembers Jaz Sinclair, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh and Hamish Linklater and showrunner Michele Fazekas. Chace Crawford, who will reprise his role as The Deep in season two, also made an appearance on stage. Watch the trailer below.

Gen V Season 2 Trailer Reveals A Major Boys Character Recruiting Marie To Stop A Deadly New Weapon
Image
The official Gen V season 2 trailer has debuted, and it reveals a major character from The Boys recruiting Marie Moreau (Jaz Sinclair). Gen V season 1 ended with Marie and her friends captured by Vought, although the season 2 teaser trailer previously showed that Marie, Emma Meyer (Lizze Broadway), and Jordan Li (London Thor and Derek Luh) are back at Godolkin University.

Due to the real-life tragedy of Chance Perdomo's death, his character, Andre Anderson, Gen V season 2 was rewritten with Andre having passed away between seasons. His father, Polarity (Sean Patrick Thomas), is determined to learn the truth about what happened to his son.

At Gen V season 2's San Diego Comic-Con panel, where ScreenRant was in attendance, Prime Video debuted the official trailer, which shows The Boys' Annie January/Starlight (Erin Moriarty) recruiting Marie. After saving Marie from another supe, Annie explains that she needs Marie to return to...

Gen V Season 2 Trailer Reveals Ethan Slater’s Casting, Starlight’s Mission for Marie and a Chance Perdomo Tribute
Image
A familiar face is welcoming Gen V back to Prime Video for its long-awaited second season, premiering on Wednesday, Sept. 17 with the first three episodes.

As just revealed at San Diego Comic-Con, the trailer for Season 2 kicks off with Starlight (The Boys’ Erin Moriarty) turning to Marie Moreau (Jaz Sinclair) for help. ‘Gen V’ Season 2 Trailer Shows Starlight Coming to Save the Day | Video
Image
Just as Marie (Jaz Sinclair) is in the middle of a tussle with another Supe, here comes “The Boys” hero Starlight/Annie January blasting her light beam to save the day in the official trailer for “Gen V” Season 2.

“Hey, Marie,” Starlight says in the trailer with a smile to a bloodied Marie after taking out an enemy. The trailer debuted on Friday at San Diego Comic-Con.

Universal Pictures has revealed new art for the highly anticipated Wicked: For Good, which is set to open in theaters on November 21, 2025. The art features Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, Ariana Grande as Glinda, Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero, Jeff Goldblum as the Wizard, and Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible in Emerald City.

Earlier this month, NBC announced that the Academy Award-nominated Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande will lead a one-time-only two-hour Wicked special event at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Nov. 6 at 8 p.m. Et/Pt on NBC and streaming the next day on Peacock.

In celebration of the Universal Pictures sequel, Erivo and Grande will be joined by their co-stars and other surprise guests to perform many songs from the first movie — and maybe, just maybe, a little bit from the upcoming film.

Sylvester Stallone's Criminally Underrated Adventure Drama With 83% Rt Audience Score Is Finally Getting Recognition on Streaming
Image
Sylvester Stallone is primarily known for his acting, for which he received two Academy Award nominations. However, the actor is also a director and a producer, and he has been behind many titles without starring in them.

One of them is 2024's Lost on a Mountain in Maine, for which Stallone is a producer. The film is an adventure drama based on the true story told in Donn Fendler's book of the same name, which narrates the author's experiences as a 12-year-old boy lost in the wilderness. Lost on a Mountain in Maine, which most fell under the radar, has reportedly found new life on Netflix one year later, according to Tudum.

Lost on a Mountain in Maine premiered on Jul. 13, 2024, at the Maine International Film Festival and hit theaters on Nov. 1 of the same year. It hit digital and PVOD on Jan. 7, 2025, with physical media released on Mar.

The two-hour special was first announced at NBCUniversal’s presentation at upfronts in New York in May. After broadcasting at 8 p.m. on Nov. 6, it will stream on Peacock beginning on Nov. 7.

July Will Not Be a Popular Month for 'Wicked' Fans
Image
Jon M. Chu’s musical fantasy Wicked, starring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande in the iconic roles of Elphaba and Glinda, respectively, garnered much praise upon its release. The movie was not only a commercial success but became a pop-culture phenomenon, making waves throughout the awards season. Fans flocked to the theaters to see the feature and watched it again when it began streaming on Peacock.

However, per ComicBook, Wicked is leaving Peacock later in July after arriving on the platform back in March. The movie will then be heading to Prime Video, which has a deal with Universal to get the second-run rights to the studio’s live-action releases. Fans who want to watch the movie on Peacock have until July 20. Since the highly anticipated sequel, Wicked: For Good, arrives in November 2025, fans will want to revisit the film before heading to theaters.

Wicked 2 Update Reveals Major Nessarose Changes That Fix A Major Problem From Original Musical
Image
Two massive changes have been revealed to the story of Nessarose (Marissa Bode) in Wicked: For Good, and these changes fix a significant problem from the original musical. The second and final movie adapting the Broadway musical will continue the stories of Nessarose, Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo), Glinda (Ariana Grande-Butera), and other key characters after Wicked's dramatic ending.

There was a positive reception to the first movie casting a disabled actor, Bode, to play the role of Nessarose. However, there has been considerable speculation about how disability representation will be handled in Wicked: For Good's story since the second act of the stage musical sees Nessarose walking through Elphaba's magic.

In an interview with Cbn (via BroadwayWorld), composer and lyricist Stephen Schwartz indicates that Nessarose will not walk in Wicked: For Good. He explains that he and writer Winnie Holzman have learned from the Pwd (people with disabilities) community...

Wicked 2 Casting Update Confirms Two Stars Won't Return In The Sequel

Wicked: For Good gets a new casting update, revealing that two actors won't be returning in the highly anticipated sequel. Based on the hit Broadway play of the same name, which is itself based on a book by Gregory Maguire, the first Wicked hit theaters last November, introducing Ariana Grande as Glinda and Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba. Now, both actors are set to return for the upcoming Wicked: For Good, which will bring back a number of other familiar characters from the Land of Oz.

In a recent interview with ExtraTV, Kristin Chenoweth reveals that audiences should not expect to see either her or Idina Menzel back for cameos in Wicked: For Good. Chenoweth and Menzel, who played Glinda and Elphaba, respectively, in the original Wicked play, appeared for one musical number in the first film as new characters, but the star says that the sequel is all about the new cast members.

"And now whatever way our stories end, I know you have rewritten mine by being my friend…"

Universal Pictures has released the first trailer for Wicked: For Good, which will serve as both the second part of a prequel to The Wizard of Oz and a retelling of the classic tale.

Part 1 was a big hit with fans and critics alike, and took in an impressive $744.07 million worldwide. This may not sound like too much when you consider that some blockbusters are still clearing a billion, but it was enough to make the movie the highest-grossing film adaptation of a Broadway musical.

The trailer finds friends turned adversaries Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) and Glinda (Ariana Grande) - now known as the "Wicked Witch of the West" and the "Good Witch of the East" - reuniting after spending years on opposing sides. Will their reforged alliance last as the "Wonderful Wizard of...

Wicked: For Good Trailer: Cynthia Erivo And Ariana Grande Return As No Good Deed Goes Unpunished
Image
To say that the first part of Jon M. Chu's blockbuster take on Broadway smash Wicked went down well with fans and critics alike would be something of an understatement. The filmmaker's Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo starring Wizard Of Oz prequel wasn't just popular — it was a box-office record breaker. Now Chu just has the unenviable task of, er, sticking the landing on his wildly ambitious Wicked Witch Of The West origin story with Wicked: For Good. Luckily, if the spellbinding first trailer for our return to Oz is anything to go by, it looks like we're in safe hands. Hold onto your hats (and brooms) — it's gonna be emotional:

Holy Shiz! When we talked to Chu last year following Wicked's release, the director told Empire he had the goods for Part Two, confidently hailing For Good 'a doozy'. And on present evidence, that was no lie.
