Biography

João Vicente de Castro is a man of many talents. He has made himself very well known as an actor, TV host, screenwriter and comedian. His career started in 2012 on Porta dos Fundos, where he not only works as an actor and writer but is also one of the co-founders who contributed to the success of the channel on the internet.

His work, however, went beyond the halls of the internet, which granted him many projects like: Fantástico Mundo de Gregorio (2012) and the comedy series O Grande Gonzalez (2015). He also stood out on-stage as he has proven with his work on Portátil (2015-2023), where he showed his improv skills with a live audience.

On the television, Vicente's presence is quite noticeable. He performed in series such as A Mulher do Prefeito (2013) and Lili, a Ex (2014). As for soap operas, his breakout role in Rock Story (2016) earned him quite a few nominations for "new actor".

Apart from his TV career, Vicente also ventured into the big screen, working on big productions like Porta dos Fundos: Contrato Vitalício and A Noite da Virada.

In 2022, he took on the role of TV host on the show Quem Salva Quem? (GNT), proving that he can be extremely versatile regardless of the role he plays. Currently, he is also the host in Papo de Segunda (GNT) and Let Love (Globoplay), not to mention his continued work at Porta dos Fundos.
