    • Charlie Karumi, a Nairobi-born actor, discovered his passion for the stage in high school, where he played pivotal roles in two Nationals-Winning plays. He later honed his acting skills at the renowned Kenyan repertoire theater group, The Phoenix Players, paving the way for his on-screen debut in the Kenyan TV series 'Lies That Bind'.

      Charlie quickly gained recognition in the Kenyan entertainment scene, leaving a lasting impact with performances in projects likeHigher Learning (2010), Changes, Nairobi Half Life (2012), Noose of Gold and Rush (2013). His breakthrough came in 2014 with the Maisha Magic East Drama 'Jane and Abel,' where he starred alongside a talented ensemble cast featuring Mumbi Maina, Brian Ogola, Lizz Njagah, and [link-nm3062843].

      He took home Best Supporting Actor at the 2015 Kalasha Awards for his portrayal of the enthusiastically clueless plumbing assistant 'Moses' in the comedy Fundi-Mentals (2015).

      In 2016, Charlie explored his talents as a TV host, participating in TLC's Africa-wide talent search, 'TLC's Next Great Presenter,' where he finished 2nd Runner Up. That same year, he played the role of Issa Ossman in the Academy Award Nominated short film Watu Wote: All of Us (2017).

      In 2017, he secured a role in the Danish Broadcasting Corporation limited TV series Liberty (2018), which premiered at Berlinale in 2018.

      Taking his career to new heights, Charlie ventured into radio and TV hosting in Nairobi from 2018, a 4-year stint that included hosting shows on National TV stations K24 & Kiss TV and also hosting two of the country's top-rated radio breakfast shows: on NRG Radio and 103.5 HomeBoyz Radio.

      In 2022, driven by his desire to advance his acting career, Charlie made the decision to relocate to BC, Canada, immersing himself in Vancouver's thriving film and TV industry. Since his move, he's starred in various projects in short film Butterflies from a Blaze the web series Housies and Monarch: Legacy of Monsters (2023) for Apple TV+.
