Dave Harlequin
Described by both press and colleagues as an "independent renaissance man" and "voice of the underground," among other things, Dave Harlequin is a professional screenwriter, journalist, author, and independent filmmaker from Charlotte, North Carolina. He is the Creative Director of the indie film studio and production group A Stranger Concept Films, as well as the Festival Director of the annual Stranger Days Independent Film Festival.

First breaking into the world of filmmaking in 2013, Harlequin has written, directed, and/or worked on over three dozen films, many of which winning various awards throughout the film festival and convention circuits, and has been featured on various TV and streaming platforms including Amazon Prime Video and AMC Networks.

In addition to his film work, Harlequin is an accomplished journalist and is the former Editor in Chief of both Nerd Nation Magazine and Stiff Horror Magazine, has over a dozen published short stories, dozens more non-fiction published credits, and has been nominated for two Rondo Hatton Awards for his journalistic contributions. Outside of his career in entertainment, Harlequin is an avid foodie and beer aficionado, and enjoys cooking, coffee, gaming, and hanging out with his dog. And yes, he has heard the "Harley Quinn" joke about his last name at least 1,000 times.
