Biography

At eight, she auditioned along with other children at SBT for Mike Cahill's film I Origins, where she played a wandering orphan child named Salomina.

A student of Class 7 at the Birla Arya Secondary School, she lives with 80 other girls at Udaan, the SBT shelter home in Delhi's Kamala Nagar locality.

"I don't know how I came here, but I like living here. I don't know my mother's name. She comes to meet me sometimes," she says. Kashish has been trying to call her mother to share the news about her award, but finds her phone switched off. "When my mother comes, she can throw a little party for my friends," she says.
