Sarah Murphree was born on April 9 in Nashville, Tennessee. She is the oldest of two children, born and raised in the South. She got her start in a traveling sketch troupe and studied theatre at a performing arts high school. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from The University of Tennessee in Knoxville where she studied journalism and screenwriting.
