Thijs gained initial recognition as a member of the Belgian group \#LikeMe, which was formed for the Fabric Magic and Ketnet television series of the same name. In the series, which aired from 2019 to 2021, she played the lead role of Caroline "Caro" Timmers. The \#LikeMe songs achieved significant popularity in Flanders and topped the Ultratop charts.

After \#LikeMe concluded, Pommelien Thijs embarked on a solo music career under the mononym "Pommelien". Her debut album, "Goudvis" (Goldfish), was released in 2022 and received critical acclaim. The album blends pop, R\&B, and electronic influences and features songs in Dutch. She has released several successful singles, including "Nu wij niet meer praten" (Now that we don't talk anymore) with Metejoor, "Ongewoon" (Unusual), and "Erop of eronder" (All or nothing).

Pommelien Thijs has received several awards for her music, including Music Industry Awards (MIAs) in Belgium. She is considered one of the rising stars of the Belgian music scene, praised for her distinctive voice, songwriting, and stage presence.
