Santiago Mazarro is a director, scriptwriter and writer of historical novels. He began his professional career at Atresmedia and Boomerang TV. In 2016 he started his own creative studio, Volcanica Media. Since then he has written and directed the documentaries Príncipe de la Paz (2018), Beti-Jai, the forgotten temple (2021), 1212. The Battle of Las Navas de Tolosa (2023), The smoke that thunders (2024) as well as multiple campaigns for clients such as UNICEF or Google. He has also published some historical novels, like Senderos Salvajes (2020) or El fuerte de la Florida (2022).
