Directed by Vipul Vig, the film, Rahu Ketu, promises to be an entertaining ride. Shalini Pandey of Arjun Reddy fame joined the film with Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, and that just raises the excitement levels.

What’s In Store With ‘Rahu Ketu’?

Though the plot is still under wraps, reports suggest that Rahu Ketu will be a laugh riot filled with quirky characters and unexpected twists. Announcing the film, Zee Studios Official took to social media handles and shared some images from the set of Rahu Ketu. The announcement post reads, “Some call it fate, we call it #RahuKetu ka khel. Aur yeh aapke life mein bhi jald hi pravesh karenge, shoot begins now.”

Considering Pulkit and Varun’s crackling chemistry, fans can expect non-stop entertainment.

‘Fukrey 3’, the highly awaited installment of the famous comedy film franchise, is all geared up to launch on September 28, 2023, shifting from its earlier date of December 1. ‘Fukrey 3’ will mark a decade of the comedy movie franchise.

Directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, written by Vipul Vig, ‘Fukrey 3’ boasts of a stellar ensemble cast featuring Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Manjot Singh, Pankaj Tripathi and Richa Chadha reprising her role.

The chemistry and comedic timing of ensemble cast and their iconic characters is promising itself to be a train ride of joy and rib tickling laughter, particularly as massive action has been hitting the big screens these few months with ‘Gadar 2’, ‘Jailer’ and now ‘Jawan’ which releases on September 7.

Fukrey Returns

There is a kind of quirky credibility in the way the characters of Fukrey have grown on us ever since they were seen in the first Fukrey film. It’s been nearly five years. But we haven’t forgotten Hunny, Choocha, Lali, Pandit and last but not the least, the woman who won’t be put on a leash, Bholi Punjaban.

Please note, I make no mention of Zafar, played by Ali Fazal, as his character remains strangely sketchy, unfinished, incomplete. He is a Fukrey on the look-out for a more fleshed-out platform of expression.

Strange, because the other principal players in this prickly parody of Capital consumerism are so vividly etched, we feel we know them inside-out. Fukrey Returns acquaints us with the bang-gang even better than the first Fukrey film.

The nominations for the 20th annual Screen Awards was announced yesterday and not only that we learned who would be the Mc of the grand event – none other the King Khan! Yes, Shah Rukh Khan will play host to the star studded event. In a statement he said, “I’ve always enjoyed hosting award functions and making people around me happy and Screen Awards gives me that opportunity, the chance to return all the love and the wishes that my audiences have always blessed me with.”

Directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, who previously directed a not so impressive Teen Thay Bhai, Furkrey is definitely a comeback film for him. The stars and filmmakers behind the upcoming outrageous comedy Fukrey launched the music in grand style at Delhi University’s Atma Ram Sanatan Dharm College (Arsd). While Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani (from production house Excel Entertainment), along with director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, entered the university hall on bicycles, the four lead stars - Manjot Singh, Ali Fazal, Pulkit Samrat and Varun Sharma – made a grand and unique entrance on horseback, to mirror a similar scene in the film. The female leads – Richa Chadda, Priya Anand and Vishakha Singh – entered walking and dancing into the festive occasion joined by dhol players and a musical band.

Addressing the mammoth crowd of college students, Akhtar described his bicycle entrance sarcastically stating “the budget of the movie is so big that we invested everything in it. So with the leftover money, we could only afford horses.”
