Emily Lim is a Malaysian-born Chinese actress, model, host and nutritionist. In 2005, she participated in the Miss ASTRO International Chinese Pageant contest in Malaysia and made her debut as 1st runner-up, Miss Perfect Body and Miss Elegant. In 2006, she participated in local TV series "The Beginning", which was her first TV series. In 2019, she won the Best Leading Actress in the Kuala Lumpur Film Critics Association of Malaysia (Anugerah Majlis Pengkritik Filem Kuala Limpur) for her local horror film "Two Sisters".

Emily debuted in the television series "The Beginning" and played minor role, which were co-produced by Malaysia ntv7 and Singapore Mediacorp Studios in 2006 and her performance was remarkable. In the same year, she received more performance opportunities from Mediacorp Studios, featured in many local drama series, such as "Falling In Love", "The Beautiful Scent", "Glittering Days", "Addicted To Love", "My Destiny" "and many more. At the same time, Emily has also won the favor of many commercial advertisers and has taken many dazzling advertising works.

In 2009, she got her first good opportunity in her acting career and officially became one of the heroines for the drama series "My Kampong Days", which was broadcast on the local TV station ntv7. In following year, she starred in the drama series "Injustice", even then though, she felt at odds with her role on the set, and without proper training in acting, she sometimes felt a little out of place. Furthermore, she felt stressed because was often asked to maintain a slim figure. She used extreme weight loss methods, which led to hormonal imbalance and out of shape. Later, she suffered from depression and was unable to perform for nearly a year. Fortunately, when she was in the most difficult time during she was filming "Injustice", she met her current husband Alan Yun and started dating. Alan always been by her side to encourage and support her and she gradually regain confidence and get rid of obstacles.

Emily acting career has gradually improved and changed. During year 2011-2019, she starred in many well-known Chinese drama series, such as "Justice In The City", "In Laws II", "On the Brink", "The Precedents", "Turning Point", "Secret Lover", "My Sensei Nyonya", "Turning Point 2", "I Court You" and so on. In 2012, while in the United States, Emily took up an acting course in Los Angeles which finally gave her the confidence she needed to believe in her own skills. At the same time, she also studied nutrition to increase her knowledge about general nutrition, understand the rules of human nutrition and quality improvement of daily diet, and was graduated as a nutritionist in 2013.

In 2018, she was given an opportunity to star in the thriller film "Two Sisters", directed by James Lee. With her superb performance, she won the Best Leading Actress in the Kuala Lumpur Film Critics Association of Malaysia and nominated for the 30th Malaysia Film Festival. The movie "Two Sisters" was also exhibited at major film festival events such as the China Golden Rooster Awards and the 21st Udine Far East Film Festival in Italy, and was highly appreciated by the outside world.
