Biography

Zane Banyan is an actor, singer, model and comedian based in Toronto, Ontario best known for her starring role in Toronto Fringe's 2011 hit Grounded in Fantasy. She was born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada to Lebanese immigrant parents. As such, she got a late start to pursuing her passion, only enrolling at the Windsor Centre for Creative Arts in her last year of high school where she began to develop her skills and talent as a multi-faceted performer. She went on to complete a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Drama and Communication Studies at the University of Windsor while performing in several stage and screen productions. Whether delivering a heartbreaking monologue through real tears, cracking up audiences with her stand-up routine, or singing upbeat 90s rock hits with her band, Zane thrives in the spotlight. Whether it's on a stage, a runway, or in front of a camera, this dynamic performer adapts easily to any audience or style and makes any task seem effortless, hilarious and fun.
