Eyes Of Wakanda Takes Another Step Forward For The MCU, But It Still Reveals Marvel's Cowardice
Image
This article contains spoilers for "Eyes of Wakanda."

Everyone knows that Achilles is gay. It's 2025. I don't care what Brad Pitt told you back in 2004, but we live in a different world now — a world where, when you see Achilles in a thing, you should know to immediately start looking for the queer rep. So that's exactly what I did when I saw the famous Greek hero pop up in episode two of Marvel's new "Eyes of Wakanda" animated series.

Now, I know what you're thinking. Achilles and queer storylines go hand in hand. But the MCU? Sort of the opposite. Yes, we all loved "Agatha All Along," which is probably the most explicit, canonical, interesting queer representation in the franchise to date. But other than that, Joe Russo's cringy cameo in "Avengers: Endgame," and a few pride pins that you have to squint to see? It's slim pickings.

Eyes Of Wakanda Ending Explained: How It Ties Into Black Panther, What It Means For Iron Fist, And More
Image
Eyes of Wakanda has just premiered on Disney+, and it changes everything we thought we knew about Marvel Studios' Black Panther franchise.

The series follows multiple characters throughout history as they attempt to retrieve and return powerful artefacts to the isolationist nation of Wakanda. In the finale (which is set in 1896), we're introduced to a Black Panther from 500 years in the future, played by Anika Noni Rose.

The future Queen of Wakanda has travelled back in time because Wakanda and the world have fallen to the alien Horde. She warns Prince Tafari and Kuda that the Vibranium axe they've tracked down must not be returned to her home. By leaving the axe out in the world, it will one day be stolen by Erik Killmonger, drawing T'Challa out from the shadows and ultimately leading to Wakanda revealing itself to the world.

By changing history, Earth now stands a much greater...

Every Upcoming Marvel TV Show Headed to Disney+
Image
Over the last two years, Marvel’s television slate faced a whole lot of shifting, followed by an entire revamping of its structure, and it seems to have finally found its groove. And there’s still quite a few shows on the horizon.

According to Marvel TV head Brad Winderbaum, the studio is now “thinking about television really more like traditional television” — which in some cases means multiple seasons. “Loki,” “Daredevil: Born Again” and “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man” are so far the only series to get more than one, though Winderbaum offered hope for “Agatha All Along” and “Hawkeye.”

In the meantime, it’s hard for anyone to keep track of all these series in their head. So, we went ahead and compiled a list for you of every confirmed Marvel TV show currently in the works to premiere on Disney+.

Below, you will find all the information we have...

Eyes Of Wakanda: The Actor Playing The McU's Female Iron Fist Has Been Revealed
Image
This Friday, Marvel Studios/Marvel Animation releases all four episodes of Eyes of Wakanda, a Black Panther prequel series set in the McU's distant past.

While there's a lot of excitement to see the world of Wakanda expand with this story about the Hatut Zaraze, easily the most intriguing part of the show is Marvel Studios' plan to introduce a new, female Iron Fist (generations before Danny Rand inherits the mantle).

We still don't have a name for the Iron Fist who was first spotted in a new trailer and character poster released yesterday, but Jona Xiao is now confirmed to be voicing the character in Eyes of Wakanda.

The actor broke the news on Instagram, writing, "So stoked to reveal I’m playing the MCU’s 1st ever female Iron Fist! Catch Marvel's 'Eyes of Wakanda,' dropping on Disney+ August 1st!"

Disney+'s Next MCU Series Is Arriving Sooner Than Expected
Image
Marvel's Eyes of Wakanda animated spin-off anthology series will be taking viewers back to the titular nation much sooner than expected. In an exclusive conversation with Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Todd Harris confirmed that all four episodes, which were originally set to premiere on August 27, will now arrive on Disney+ on August 1. It's a big shock considering the team hasn't gotten a ton of chances to speak out about the project, and all that's been seen so far is a short teaser. Moreover, the news is a nice update to tide fans over since Marvel decided to skip San Diego Comic-Con this year.

Harris has been hard at work conceiving Eyes of Wakanda since back when Ryan Coogler debuted his first Black Panther movie starring the late Chadwick Boseman in 2018. It wasn't until the Annecy International Animation Film Festival earlier this year that he finally got the chance to show off...

After showcasing what fans are in for at the recent Annecy Festival. Marvel Studios has unveiled the first teaser of the four part series and its everything fans could ask for. Instead, the series focused on Emma's alleged cheating scandal, risking her career.

Selling Sunset Season 8 premiered earlier this month with high drama.

New Oppenheim Group realtor Alanna Gold managed to stay neutral amid a slew of drama.

Viewers watched in awe as she donned high fashion and opened up about her and her husband, Adam Gold, owning Pioneertown.

However, things took an explosive turn off-screen when Pioneertown residents posted an Instagram statement revealing that Alanna’s claims couldn’t be further from the truth.

The social media post called Alanna’s claims “baseless” before doubling down on its assertion that her revelations “undermine 78 years of internationally celebrated film, arts, and cultural history.”

“These claims belittle generations of artists, neighbors, nature lovers, community members, musicians, small business owners and otherwise magnificent people of Pioneertown,” the statement read.

"Mrs. Gold has a small minority non-controlling interest"

Selling Sunset: Alanna Gold's Age, Husband, Career, Instagram, & More
Image
Selling Sunset season 8 features a brand-new member of the Oppenheim Groups team, leaving many viewers interested in learning more about Alanna Golds life outside the show. While Selling Sunset season 8 features several storylines that dont touch on Alannas life, the addition of the new agent to the O Group is one of the flashiest parts of the new season of the series. Alannas time on Selling Sunset may not contribute to the bigger issues on the show, but her presence is a breath of fresh air from the regularly scheduled drama from the rest of the cast members.

With the newbie joining in on Selling Sunset season 8, the majority of the season was able to build around several different storylines, including Alannas sales as a rookie agent. The Oppenheim Group was going through a difficult patch throughout Selling Sunset season 8, with the real estate market in the luxurious areas of Los Angeles slowing down considerably.

Image
Selling Sunset just dropped its drama-packed season 8 on Netflix . There's already been a lot of talk about Chelsea Lazkani's divorce, as well as her inappropriate micro skirt at a broker's open house (see photo below). Professional conduct and dress codes have been a hot topic this season. And while the realtors continued to show up with their usual excessive glam and over-the-top outfits, the show's newbie, Alanna Gold, ironically stood out with her proper work outfits.

In the words of TikTok star, Jools Lebron, Alanna is truly "very demure, very mindful" at work and not just in terms of clothing. Fans praised the new real estate agent for staying focused on her job. As the series villain, Nicole Young was spreading rumors about Emma Hernan; and as Chelsea and Bre were feuding, Alanna...
