From childhood, Laura Linn loved going to the movies, dreaming of one day becoming a successful actor like the stars she admired on the big screen. She began pursuing her dream by studying filmmaking in her native Brazil before transitioning fully to acting. This led her to the United States, where she studied at UCLA and completed the prestigious two-year conservatory program at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts (AADA) in New York City.
Years of hard work, unwavering determination, and a deep passion for her craft have brought Laura success. She's worked with award-winning directors, including Oscar-nominated Darrell Roodt in "The Furnace," and recently portrayed "Whiskey" in "The Getback" alongside Theo Rossi, Kim Coates, and Dermot Mulroney. Her other credits include the action film "Bring The Law" with Brendan Fehr, as well as "Breathless," "Double Blind," and "Catharsis." Laura has achieved a significant milestone for international actors, securing her Green Card as an individual with extraordinary ability. With permanent residency, her conservatory training, fluency in Portuguese, English, and French, and representation in both the United States and Brazil, Laura remains as determined and passionate as ever.
In 2018, Laura shared her experiences as a foreign actor navigating the US entertainment industry in her book, "Into The Furnace" detailing her journey from studying and working to the inevitable ups and downs of pursuing her dream.
In 2024, her feature film screenplay was optioned by two major production companies and is currently in pre-production, with a projected release date around the end of 2026.
