Takahiro Moriuchi -- vocalist and frontman for popular Japanese band One Ok Rock -- gained international renown, especially after he and his group entered the anime and movie scene, creating opening themes for high-profile IPs such as Beyblade and the live-action Rurouni Kenshin. After many years of interacting with fans outside Japan, Moriuchi has concluded that Western anime fans possess a "high intelligence" unique to those who can appreciate the media of another culture.
One Ok Rock has spent the last 10 years releasing albums and going on tour to various nations around the globe. The group's latest album, "Detox," was released on Feb. 21, 2025. In a recent interview with Crunchyroll, Moriuchi (aka 'Taka') explained how the growth of his band ultimately helped him connect with American rock enthusiasts who also harbor a passion for Japanese animation. "[They] are the ones that turned me on to anime. I started watching a few,...

With their catchy melodies, driving rock grooves, and inspirational messages of hope in every song, One Ok Rock has been spreading the magic of Japan’s music to the world for almost 20 years. The universal appeal of their powerful songs has seen them grow not only to one of Japan’s biggest rock acts, but also one of the must see acts around the world. Even if you haven’t heard of the band before, you’ve probably heard their music in Sonic Frontiers , Beyblade X , or many a Warped Tour compilation. Frontman Takahiro Moriuchi, aka Taka, knows his journey with the band often takes place in parallel with the rise of anime globally. I was able to catch up with Taka to talk about One Ok Rock’s new album Detox , becoming a bigger anime fan thanks to his American friends, and inspiration he gets from the hero’s...

For a second there, it looked like Detox was back on the Drag Race stage.
Nick Taylor: As with last season’s top six challenge, we get a pairs main challenge which relies heavily on the queen’s ingenuity to spin gold from straw. Comparing this episode to "Bathroom Hunties" immediately makes me grateful for how much "Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve & Talent Monologues" allows the queens shake their shit without a safety net rather than making them literally sell something. The interpretive dance/monologue combo is still a very strange prompt, but as the best duet showed, it’s a fun platform for the queen’s creativity, trust, and improvisational skills to shine through. That’s a very generous spin on a challenge the queens and the audience absolutely should not have sat through, but even so, we got a very deserving winner and one of season 17’s stronger lip syncs.

Keith Allen is speaking his truth about Below Deck Sailing Yacht as Season 5 wraps up.
The deckhand has pretty much remained out of the drama other than his friend zoning Danni Warren and smooching with Daisy Kellier.
Even with those problems, Keith has remained chill while being enjoyable to watch.
Keith proved more than ever that Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans didn’t get to know the real him during the show.
Thanks to his appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, fans got to know Keith better.

The end of Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 is on the horizon.
It’s been a season for the books, that’s for sure.
After a delay in hitting Bravo airwaves, Season 5 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht has been plagued with backlash.
In fact, Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans have complained so much about Season 5 that Daisy Kelliher defended it while teasing what’s coming up.
Now, as the episode count racks up and the drama heats up, fans wonder how many more episodes there are until the season ends.
Let’s take a look at what we know.
How many episodes remain in Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5?
This week, Below Deck Sailing Yacht aired Episode 12 in Season 5. That means only four or maybe five episodes remain in the season.
Only two charters are left, which would come out to four more episodes, especially since many of these charters have been short one-night charters.

Daisy Kelliher has been a Below Deck Sailing Yacht staple since Season 2.
The chief stew helped revamp the sailing series, but could her days on the show be numbered?
That’s a question Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans are asking following the latest “next on” preview.
Below Deck Sailing Yacht returned after a brief break this week with a one-night charter that featured bored guests and many complaints.
Fans were left on a cliffhanger of the guests airing their grievances to Captain Glenn Shephard while the crew waited on the dock.
This leads to a frustrated Daisy walking off the sailing yacht, leaving fans wondering if she’s done.
Does Daisy Kelliher quit Below Deck Sailing Yacht?
The “next on” preview revealed that Daisy’s having a tough time, which has been the theme all season.
First, Danni Warren fights with Daisy over the way she’s been treating her and Diana Cruz.

Does anyone else get fired on Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5? That’s the question on fans’ minds after Emma Crouch was let go.
The deckhand simply couldn’t cut it on the luxury sailing yacht.
Even Emma admitted after her firing that she struggled but was grateful for her time on the show and had no ill will toward Gary King or Captain Glenn Shephard.
The mid-season trailer hinted at serious crew drama looming, including Captain Glenn losing it more than once.
We know Captain Glenn already showed the crew his angry side over the blood on the white couch.
However, a couple of not-yet-aired scenes have viewers wondering if another crew member is destined to get fired, too.

Hardcore hip-hop fans are still wondering whatever happened to Dr. Dre's Detox, but perhaps there's a more pressing question, especially as there continues to be speculation on if Detox's release could still be on the horizon. Below Deck Sailing Yacht star Daisy Kelliher is no stranger to demanding charter guests.
After all, she endured Eric Rose not once but twice during her stint on the hit sailing show.
Season 5 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht has featured two Bravo crossovers that, honestly, we never saw coming.
Married to Medicine alum Contessa Metcalfe kicked off the season.
Then, The Real Housewives of Dallas alum Tiffany Moon appeared two charters later.
While appearing on Watch What Happens Live, Daisy revealed who was more demanding of the two Bravoleberties.
Was Tiffany Moon or Contessa Metcalfe more demanding on Below Deck Sailing Yacht?
A virtual fan wanted to know who was more demanding: the Rhod alum or the Married to Medicine alum. After all, Bravoleberties on Below Deck tend to be high maintenance and drama-filled.
However, that wasn’t the case with Contessa or Tiffany, but Daisy did pick one to answer the fan question.

Ever since snatching the season 16 crown on “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” life for Nymphia Wind has been nothing short of a whirlwind experience.
She has performed for the President of Taiwan, opened for Steve Aoki at the Gold Gala after party, joined her fellow queens at the Critics Choice Celebration of LGBTQ+ Cinema and Television and, earlier this month, performed at Vice President Kamala Harris’ Pride Celebration in Washington D.C. Drag is a family affair with older, experienced queens mentoring younger ones in a drag family known as a "Haus". Drag daughters often adopt their mother's last name and exhibit similar characteristics and talents. Many mother/daughter duos have competed on RuPaul's Drag Race, showcasing the strong mentorship and community in the drag world.
Since its premiere in 2009, RuPaul’s Drag Race fans have watched over two hundred queens compete for the crown, but what viewers may not know is that drag is a family affair. Often, an older and more experienced queen will mentor an emerging drag artist, teaching them everything, from makeup and padding tips to how to get booked for a gig. Drag mothers can have multiple daughters who then go on to have daughters, creating a drag family, otherwise known as a “Haus.”

In their recap of episode 14, Raja and Bianca agree that Anetra is a threat to Sasha Colby‘s chance at winning. Following Friday’s thirteenth episode, Naomi Smalls returns to the recap show as a two-time makeover challenge winner herself. Watch the full episode above via the official RuPaul’s Drag Race channel on YouTube.
In their recap of episode 13, both Naomi and Bianca say that they expected one of the twins to make the top five instead of the five that actually made it to this episode. Naomi said that Sugar is great at comedic timing, but Spice is more polished in her looks and so either could have been the one to make it this far. Like other queens before her, Naomi also took offense to queens like Luxx Noir London and Loosey Laduca being so pressed about their placements, especially Loosey trying to count mini challenge wins in her record.

With season 15 of RuPaul's Drag Race airing in January, this upcoming season promises to be bigger and better than ever with the largest cast yet and twins competing in the cast for the very first time. Those who couldn't wait for the next season of Drag Race have been rewatching the seminal reality tv series to hold them over until the next season airs on MTV. It's a blast revisiting many of the most well-known moments of the show, like Bob the Drag Queen's game-changing Snatch Game or seeing all the details in Raja's high fashion runways.
On the flip side, rewatching the series offers up some harsh realities from this long-running competition series that show certain issues with Drag Race that wasn't noticed on the first watch, like problematic behavior, disappointing lipsyncs, and frustrating competition outcomes.

Premiering with two episodes on Paramount Plus, “All Stars 7” will feature eight past winners competing again for the chance to be hailed the “Queen of All Queens” by host RuPaul Charles.
